ANALYSIS CONDITION
1. All calculation and analysis is strictly based on Danfoss PIBCV characteristic.
2. Analysis estimation based on steel pipe material (new):

3. Overall analysis is based on schematic diagram and pipeline given in floor layout.
4. Pipe sizes and pipe lengths are following floor plan provided. Some pipe segment with
DN550 are simulated using DN500 (as DN550 is not a common pipesize available in
database). (Consultant marked as safe assumption)
5. ∆P for chiller is given as 35 kPa and additional 20 kPa for components (such as strainer
etc.) and piping connection pressure drop. Hence total pressure drop of chiller is 55 kPa.
(Consultant marked as acceptable)
6. FCU and AHU coils flow are as according to the schedule provided.
7. PHEX flow are according to schedule provided and with pressure drop of 40kPa. Extra
20kPa is estimated to capture the bends and fittings to PHEX.
8. FAHU coils pressure drop are estimated as 35kPa while FCU coils are estimated as 30kPa.
9. The stub-out connections flow are as indicated in the floor plan with pressure drop of
50kPa.
10. Latest update (dated 09.02.23) on the pipe size of the main CHW header from chiller is
maintained at DN700 while lateral pipes of chillers and pumps is DN350. The header to 9FPHX (Low Zone) is also DN550, while for 29F-PHX (High Zone) is maintained at DN450.
