Skim and Scan
Before reading your text in full detail, skim and scan the text to
get a general idea of the start and end are. Pay attention to the
lines and big ideas of the story.
Read the questions before attempting them
Read all the questions before attempting to answer. Find out how
many pages and questions there are to avoid accidentally missing
them out. Get an idea what information to look for.
Re-read for detail to answer the questions
When answering the questions, look specifically for the
relevant answers. Follow the question instructions and answer
based on the text.
