Deepwater Horizon oil spill
Every day we are using transport such as a car, a bus, etc.
People have been using oil since ancient China times so
oil in our days is an integral part of our live. But disasters
happen time by time like in April 20th in 2010, when
“Deepwater Horizon” platform was blown up. This
happened in Gulf of Mexico. In the process of this
disaster 11 people dead, 4 was not found and 17
suffered. By this incident 5 million barrel of oil were
spilled into the ocean and after that the oil slick has
reached an area of 75,000 square kilometers. This
disaster led to enormous effects for economy of US. This
was the biggest oil spill in history. After spill 1770 km of
the coast were closed for fishing. According to the data
of May 25th 2010, 189 dead sea turtles, many birds and
other animals were found on the coast of Mexico Gulf.
