Climate change debate

Give 5 examples of a technocentric approach in the material? [5]
a) The use of alternative fuel cars has increased. For example, in 2020, seven out
of ten cars in Norway were electric or hybrid, along with eight of ten in 2021. In
addition, there is other technology, such as electric heating and insulation.
b) To reduce the emissions, lights bulbs with LEDs that are ten times more efficient
are replacing the old incandescent lights bulbs.
c) Low-carbon production of cement, electronics and steel.
d) Innovations, such as artificial meat.
e) Carbon capture technologies will be used to reduce emissions and are likely to
be used on a wide scale.
Explain how MEDCs and LEDCs economies impact each other? [3]
a) The economy of a rich country; MEDC, affects the economy of a poor country;
LECD, by exporting emissions by moving dirty parts of their economies, such as
manufacturing.
b) When MEDC pays for the expensive development of green technologies they can
adopt them more cheaply.
Identify the economical and political factors assuaging climate change? [3]
1. Political:
a) As more and more younger people move into powerful positions, they create new
policies to reduce emissions. For example, in 2022, most governments of
autocratic and democratic countries set the emission limits to zero.
2. Economic:
a) When MEDC pays for the expensive development of green technologies they can
adopt them more cheaply. Thus they can skip most of the high emission phase
