witnessing of mechanical and destructive testing at Group five factory for carbon Steel pipes for Water
Improvement Project Dammam-5 project.

5.1 Review technical documents and witness activities as per attached approved ITP# MITP
12/22 Rev. 01 dated 30th January 2023
5.1.1 Steel Coil MTCs for all coils (A1.0/A1.1) has been reviewed and found satisfactory in
accordance to the applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 4.2/4.5.1 and ASTM A-53 Gr. B
clause 5 table-1 acceptance criteria.
5.1.2 Coil Width measurements reports (A1.2) has been reviewed and found satisfactory in
accordance to the applicable ITP and HRC specifications acceptance criteria.
5.1.3 Coil UT test reports (A1.3) have been reviewed and found satisfactory in accordance to the
applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 5.2 and ASTM A-53 Clause 9.1.2 acceptance criteria.
5.1.4 Edge milling reports (A1.4) have been reviewed and found satisfactory in accordance to the
applicable ITP acceptance criteria.

5.1.5 Pipe forming reports (A2.0) have been reviewed and found satisfactory in accordance to the
applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 clause 4.7.1 acceptance criteria.
5.1.6 Welding reports (A3.0) have been reviewed and found satisfactory as per approved welding
procedures, applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 clause 4.7.1 and ASME IX
5.1.7 Automatic submerged arc welding (A3.3) test reports have been reviewed and found
satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 4.7.1 and ASME IX acceptance
criteria.
5.1.8 Radiographic testing seam (A6.0) weld have been reviewed and found satisfactory as per
applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 clause 5.2.2.1 acceptance criteria.
5.1.9 Automatic & Manual Ultrasonic testing (Weld) (A8.0) have been reviewed/witnessed and found
satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 5.2 acceptance criteria.
5.1.10 Radiography 100% for skep weld T-joint (A9.0) test reports have been reviewed/interpreted
and found satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 5.2.2.1 acceptance
criteria.
5.1.11 Transverse Base tensile (A 12.1) QC records have been reviewed/witnessed and found
satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 4.8 and ASTM A-53 Clause 7
acceptance criteria.
5.1.12 Transverse weld tensile (Helical & Skelp weld) (A12.2) QC records have been
reviewed/witnessed and found satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 4.8
and ASTM A-53 Clause 7 acceptance criteria.
5.1.13 Guided Bend test (A12.3) for helical seam and skelp end wed (roof and face) & base metal, QC
records have been reviewed/witnessed and found satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA
C-200 Clause 4.8.3 acceptance criteria.
5.1.14 Charpy V notch impact (helical/skelp) “Pipe body, weld and HAZ” (A12.4) QC records have
been reviewed/witnessed and found satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200
Clause 4.5.2 acceptance criteria.
5.1.15 Macro-graphical examination of helical and skelp end welds (Macro etching) (A12.5) QC
records have been reviewed and found satisfactory as per applicable ITP acceptance criteria.
5.1.16 Hardness Test of helical and skelp end welds (A12.6) QC records have been reviewed and found
satisfactory as per applicable ITP acceptance criteria.
5.1.17 WPS/PQR (A3.2) for HW, Skelp weld and RPQR have been reviewed/witnessed and found
satisfactory as applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 clause 4.6 and ASME IX acceptance criteria.
5.1.18 Hydrostatic test reports (A7.0) test records for MPQT pipe has been witnessed for the pipe#
D8102-0002 Dia. 64 Thickness 9.53 as per applicable ITP and hydrotest report for testing
pressure 22 bars for 30 seconds and found acceptable.
5.1.19 Visual & dimensional examination (A10.0) QC records have been reviewed/witnessed and
found satisfactory as per applicable ITP and AWWA C-200 Clause 4.7.1.3 acceptance criteria.
6. CONCLUSION
Whenever applicable, the above inspection findings conform for the above scope only as per the
applicable ITP and reference standards acceptance criteria.
