Water is essential for all life on Earth. We need it to drink , cook, clean, and farm. But, unfortunately, we don't have much fresh water in the earth and the situation is getting worse every day. Everyone stays here don´t have feelings of water scarcity because we are rich and fortunateļ¼but in fact, according to the United Nations, about 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, and more than 4.2 billion people live in areas where water scarcity is a problem. In the water-saving promotional film I saw when I was a child, the unforgettable scene was a child in the arms of a mother with dry lips and squinting eyes but no tears...... Until now, these shocking numbers have been hurting my heart, because they tell me that not only this child is suffering like this. Water scarcity is not just a problem for developing countries. Even in developed countries, we can see the effects of water scarcity. For example, in California, a severe drought in 2015 caused the state to lose over $2.7 billion in agricultural revenue and cost 18,600 jobs. We cannot afford to take water for granted anymore. Water is a finite resource, and we need to use it wisely. One of the most important things we can do is save water. Everyone can take simple things to save water. For example, we can turn off the faucet while brushing our teeth, take shorter showers, and we can use water that already washed rice to watering plant. By making small changes in our daily routine, we can make a huge difference. But water-saving is not just an individual responsibility. Industries and governments also must take action to conserve water. Industries can invest in water-efficient technologies, and governments can implement policies and regulations to reduce water waste. We need to make sure that water resources are used wisely. In conclusion, water is a precious resource, and we must use it wisely. We owe it to ourselves, future generations, and the earth to protect this valuable resource. Let us all take responsibility and work together for save water. Don't let the last drop of water become our tear.
