The French and Indian War (1754–1763) was what Europeans called the Seven Years' War, which
pitted the North American colonies of the British Empire against those of the French, each side being
supported by various Native American tribes. In the end British won the battle.
Proclamation of 1763: boundary line Proclamation of 1763, proclamation declared by the British crown
at the end of the French and Indian War in North America, mainly intended to appease the Native
Americans by checking the violation of settlers on their lands.
Stamp Act Summary The Stamp Act of 1765 was an act of Parliament that imposed taxes on the
American colonies for the purpose of raising revenue for the British Treasury. This act made the
colonist made because they thought they had no representation.
The Intolerable Acts were a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the
Boston Tea Party. The laws aimed to punish Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in the Tea Party
protest of the Tea Act, a tax measure enacted by Parliament in May 1773.
