Ayn Sztryk N. Sanchez St. Vincent de Paul The will of God During the holy week on April 3, 2023. I went around my neighborhood looking for someone to do bible sharing with and I bumped into my neighbor Mr. Jerimiah, he is in his 20’s studying architecture, for me he is a role model because he has experience in bodybuilding, kickboxing, and wrestling, but he stopped because he wanted to be an architect. At that time he was having a hard time because he has an upcoming exam and he has many PETA’s to finish before the exam. While I was listening to him tell his problem I realized that being a college student is hard, and as a senior high student, I reflected on myself that I need to be serious in my studies especially when I plan on being an anesthesiologist doctor. After hearing him out on his problem I decided to do bible sharing with him to let him know that God is always there for him in his toughest times. After leaving Mr. Jerimiah’s house I ran into Lola Fely she is an elderly woman who lives close to us and to me, she is like my own family. I asked her if she wanted to do bible sharing with me since it’s holy week and she replied with “Sige apo”, I was touched by her after hearing those words because when I was I child she always take care of me willingly when my parents were busy with work. While I was reading the Bible on my phone I felt her motherly love as she was patting my back as I was reading. After our bible sharing, I realized that being a family does not have to be by blood it can also be by how close you are and how you treat each other for the benefit of their well-being. I was about to leave Lola Fely's house but then her husband Mr. Pito came home from work. I noticed that he was a bit pale and it looked like he was stressed so I took the courage and asked him what was troubling him and he said he was busy at work in Ambaguio because he had to monitor the workers from the construction site to do their job properly. He also said that he is retired but he still wants to help his son with work that’s why he has work in Ambaguio even though he’s already retired. After listening to him I took the courage again to ask him to do bible sharing with me to at least lessen his stress and replied with “Sige bakit hindi”. Before doing the bible sharing I felt nervous because I don’t have a good impression of Mr. Pito. During the bible sharing, I was consumed in reading the bible that I did not pay much attention to whatever was happening and my nervousness suddenly faded. After the bible sharing, I felt happy because got to experience bible sharing with Lola Fely and Mr. Pito because got to spend time with Lola and lessen Lolo’s stress. The only challenge I encountered during my missionary task was I had a hard time looking for someone to do bible sharing with because there are only a few of us in our neighborhood since almost everyone went on vacation. What motivated me to do this missionary tasks is that I realized that doing missionary tasks is fulfilling because I got to make a positive impact in their life by giving them a sense of hope to help them with their problems.
