NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE KIBAWE NHS-POBLACION CAMPUS FAMILY
DAY CELEBRATION 2022
The Kibawe National High School -Poblacion Campus celebrated its first Family Day
celebration last December 17, 2022. It was a significant event that highlighted the importance
of family in the school community. The celebration aimed to foster stronger family ties and
camaraderie, enhance family communication, and promote a sense of belongingness among the
teachers, parents, and students.
The celebration kicked off with the registration of attendees by grade level, which was
efficiently facilitated by the faculty. The event was hosted by Ma’am Dece May Amejana and
Ma’am Roqueza Abitona, while Ma’am Junalyn Algones acted as the documenter. The event
was organized by the school faculty and staff. The program formally started with an opening
prayer led by Sir Eduardo Adem Jr. This was followed by a multimedia invocation and the
singing of national anthem that set the mood for the event. Mr. Eleazar Lines, the GPTCA
President, delivered the opening remarks, expressing his gratitude to all the attendees and
highlighting the significance of the event.
The school head, Ma’am Laura Restificar, PhD, delivered an inspiring message,
emphasizing the importance of family in the school community and how it contributes to the
students' success. The celebration was filled with various performances by grade level. Grade
7, Grade 8, Grade 9, and Grade 10 students together with their parents presented their
performances, showcasing their talents and skills which drew loud cheers and applause from
the audience.
The celebration also featured raffle draws for minor and major awards, which were
facilitated by the GPTCA officers and Ma’am Laura Restificar. The different parlor games that
involved the parents and students added excitement and fun to the event.
After the morning activities, lunch was served by year level, providing a chance for
attendees to sit together and share their meals. After lunch, there was another round of raffle
draws for major awards and the program continued with the announcement of the winners of
the Search for the Best Indigenous Christmas Lantern and Christmas Tree Contest held last
December 13, 2022. The winners received their awards and certificates of recognition.
To capture the memories of the event, pictorials were taken, and everyone had a chance
to take photos with their family and friends.
The program concluded with a closing message reminding everyone of the value and
importance of family. Overall, the Kibawe NHS-Poblacion Campus Family Day celebration
was a successful event that brought joy and happiness to everyone who participated. It provided
an opportunity for families to spend time together, have fun, and create lasting memories and
also, it served as an opportunity for the school to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions
of its stakeholders and to celebrate the school's achievements. This event indeed strengthened
the bond between the school, community and families, promoting a harmonious relationship
that supports the holistic development of the students.
