RESEARCH SCRIPT OF GROUP 7 – APRIL 27, 2023 Dan: A pleasant morning to you all! I am Dan Ericson Mangayayam. Alexis: I am… Angel: I am… Jaycinth: and I am… Today we will be discussing the research we have done regarding the R & D Document Repository using predicted search with z-algorithm. Dan: Now, it is fair to wonder why we have chosen this particular topic to deal with, and here is the answer. Not so long ago, I recently served an On the Job Training assignment in the RND Office. At that time, I suppose I was thinking of ideas for my upcoming project study. And so I asked Mrs. Marife Alviento, the head of R and D if her office requires a system. She made a suggestion regarding their need to upgrade their uncomprehending repository procedure for archiving research documents by creating an online repository system. Because of the possibility that one document could be lost or that an office fire could burn all of the documents completely and render them unrecoverable, I began to wonder if it would be conceivable. Then Ma'am Jazmine Alabazo suggests adding a repository for student research the fact that Students frequently travel great distances merely to hand on their hard copies of research papers, and in those cases where the teacher they must send them on is absent or does not leave them with any reminders, they must return the next day and repeat the entire process. It can be difficult and procrastinating for the majority of students and faculty members to have to work so slowly on archiving research articles. I then set about planning an RND office online repository system. Now, Let’s talk about cloud storage. Alexis: Cloud Storage is a cloud computing architecture that provides online data and file storage. Cloud Storage have shown its significant impact and importance in the digital age. It is a useful tool not only in businesses but also for a variety of use even for personal use. The advantages of using cloud storage as compared with the traditional offline storage are the backups are easily available with the provider, it can have larger storage capacity, and files can be mobile and accessible for use in different electronic devices and locations. The fact that cloud storage is expandable is its main advantage. When deciding between cloud storage and local data storage, there are a number of benefits to take into account, particularly when keeping crucial business files that demand secure storage, regular backups, and simple access. To express our views in a clearer manner, cloud storage can be use as a repository for any types of documents which can be safely and securely kept online. Angel: Now we move on to our Proposed System called Research Office Repository system with predicted search. It is a mobile-based web application operating database software that performs specific functions, generally to make teachers upload their research documents online and it serves as their storehouse for future use which they can search on filtered predicted search. Students can also use this software to pass their research projects for given advisers, taking notes and view templates. Schools give students a number of research projects, some of which they must accomplish alone and others with classmates who may live farther away. As a result, students in general may profit from these benefits. Having an online repository of research related activities is an important part of the Campus to provide proper medium or facility for the students and faculty members in accomplishing their research proposals and projects. Android Studio, JavaScript and Google Firebase is an open-source content management, application design and database management system will be use in this study to develop the database software for research. Additionally, it can also organize an interconnected event and activity planner between the faculty members and to look for future activities and it has a search filter that can search result of any document based on what the user typed. All of these specified functions can only access via account. Jaycinth: Furthermore, with regards to its curricular mandate, NLPSC has consistently proven its adherence to quality education has evolved from humble beginnings and continues to soar high with the steadfast dedication and commitment of its workforce. Within the Research and Development Office of the campus, their research repository procedure must be updated into a modern system for not only the faculty members but also the students who are focusing on research studies since this project study is important for educational institutions in helping to manage and capture intellectual assets as a part of their information strategy. Dan: Now that we are familiar with the background of the study, we can move on to our statement of the problem; In any case, a research proposal or research paper must clearly identify and describe the “problem” that is being investigated, so that the reader understands where the research comes from, why the study is relevant, if the applied methods are appropriate, and if the presented results are valid and answer the stated questions. This is known as the “statement of the problem.” 1) What is the existing procedure in storing and compiling research documents? 2) What are the features of the proposed system for research document repository? 3) What is the level of acceptability test of the developed system in terms of: a) Design; and b) Functionality? Alexis: The scope of this study is to create the Research Repository System with predicted search of North Luzon Philippines State College, a mobile-based repository system that will enable teachers to input their research materials online and save them there for later use. The program can also be used by students to take notes, view templates, and submit their research tasks to designated advisers. Users can log in to the repository system and upload research documents using a search filter for simple searching. Their username and password will be used for security purposes. The other campuses are not involved in the research because it is just for NLPSC, particularly in the Research and Development Office. The goal of the study is to estimate the number of faculty members and students who will be willing to utilize our software in the future. Now let’s go over to our Frameworks for this study. Angel: The researchers create a method that outlines the steps involved in doing research. The system development for the study will employ Rapid Application Development (RAD), which is to obtain the planning requirements, user design, construction, and cutover; ostensibly the second is Level of Acceptability of suggested system in terms of Design and Functionality. The system's features as well as the current grade inquiry and information dissemination process make up the necessary input. By doing this, researchers will carry out a widely disseminated survey to gauge public acceptance of the system. The output of the study will be the research repository system of North Luzon Philippines State College. Researchers developed a framework from this section to indicate how the researchers and developers will define the system. And on the basis of this, we can predict what would happen when this topic is documented or cited within the framework. Jaycinth: Why did we choose development (RAD) is an agile development. The key benefit of a attractive choice for developers development. RAD? Well maybe it’s because, Rapid application project management strategy popular in software RAD approach is fast project turnaround, making it an working in a fast-paced environment like software Dan: Flowchart Dan: Now let’s move on to our Methodology. Alexis: For our Research Design, This project study is a software development project that aims to make use of the Cloud Storage’s ability to create a database for the Research and Development Office, specifically in terms of storing, managing, maintaining, retrieving, and sharing data and findings of Institutional Research studies that are easily available and accessible anywhere and at any time. Angel: This study will employ a survey methodology, with a questionnaire serving as the primary data collection tool and an interview for the interview of the Research and Development Office adviser to gather information as a reference to determine the existing procedures of the repository system of Research and Development Office at the North Luzon Philippines State College. The proposed system's level of acceptability in terms of its functionality and design will be assessed using a descriptive methodology. RAD will be used to construct our system, as was previously discussed. Jaycinth: Let’s move on to our respondents and population of the study. The main focus of the study is on the school of North Luzon Philippine State College. The respondents are all 4th year Students representative of BSCS, IT Experts, Research Office Director and Staff which we will evaluate the functionality, usability and reliability on the proposed repository software. This is to solicit their opinions and suggestions for the improvement of this software and its functions which will be integrate in the campus. Dan: And that’s all thank you for your time and attention today. We are the group 7, At this time, I'd like to have my colleague speak so I'll finish up by saying Thank you so much for your interest and attention. The floor is now open for questions.
