Course Title: The Art of Multimedia Storytelling
Course Description:
This course explores the concept of multimedia storytelling, providing students with the
skills and tools necessary to create engaging stories that effectively combine text,
images, video, and audio. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, and practical
assignments, students will learn the principles of narrative structure, visual storytelling,
and sound design, as well as how to effectively use various digital platforms to distribute
their stories.

Assignments:
1. Personal Narrative Multimedia Project
Students will create a 3-5 minute multimedia story based on a personal experience,
incorporating text, images, video, and audio.
2. Group Project: Multimedia News Package
Working in teams, students will produce a multimedia news package on a current
event or issue, including a written article, photographs, video, and an audio component.
3. Final Project: Multimedia Storytelling Portfolio
Students will create a portfolio of their multimedia storytelling work from the semester,
showcasing their skills in narrative structure, visual storytelling, sound design, and
distribution.
