PERFORMANCE TASK IN SCIENCE Kriscelle Hernandez KRISCELLE HERNANDEZ GRADE 9- RUTHERFORD APRIL 3, 2023 PT #2 (QUARTER 3) Many people believe in the myth that when a person dies they turn into a bright star in the sky. People believe that when someone close to us dies, a bright star appears in the sky. This could be a coincidence, and many people believe it is, but a part of us hoped it was real and that they had sent that star to shine brighter than ever for us to see these bodies. Many people believe that our true form lives forever; however, we enjoy being born into earth and believing that we only live once to have the full experience, and when you die, you PASS! At that point, you return to your Star soul and choose whether to repeat the process or ascend to heaven above in your true God-like state. However, many people questioned, ‘Why do we say that people who die become stars and watch us from above? Is this true?’ They say yes, but they don't become stars; instead, they live in those stars because energy is transferable, and they become the souls of the beings who live there' (as we are not the only living beings and there are more than 100 million stars in each galaxy and there are more than 250 billion galaxies in the observable Universe). It is entirely possible that the energy that drives a person after death moves to another space, constellation, or galaxy. That’s why in old traditions it was said that “A person becomes a star after his death”. Even though many people believe in this belief, scientists have a scientific study for these beliefs. The stars you see twinkling in sky today were formed millions of years before that person’s death, even his birth and those stars may not be even present there where you see them now because the as they are millions of light years away from us, for example a star is 8 million light years away from us so it will take 8 million years for light to reach our eyes and the star you see may have died and turned into a black hole. As a matter of fact, humans first appeared 5–7 million years ago, so the star you see now was like this even millions of years before humans first appeared on earth and to make it more interesting, if you somehow to manage to teleport yourself to a star more than 70 million years away from us instantly, you will be able to see Dinosaurs walking on earth and evolution of life since then till now(only you’ll have to remain alive there for 70 million years). KRISCELLE HERNANDEZ APRIL 3, 2023 GRADE 9- RUTHERFORD PT #2 (QUARTER 3) LOVE IN THE SKY It's well known that attempting to count the stars can be unlucky or even fatal, but one superstition holds that counting is permissible under certain conditions. Only an unmarried person looking for love can keep a tally. Even in this case, a single person can count up to seven stars on seven consecutive nights. If you do this, the first person of your preferred sex you shake hands with on the eighth day will be the person you marry. For those looking for love, it appears to be a safe way to not only find love, but also a chance to finally count the stars without fear of attracting bad luck. There is no scientific study about it, it's just a belief of single people in the world. Watch where you point! Has anyone ever told you it's rude to point? Superstition reveals that pointing at the stars is just as bad as pointing at a stranger on the street. The legend is based on the ancient belief that the stars were gods or other supernatural beings peering down from the heavens at Earth. When you pointed at a star, you were actually pointing at a god. This may enrage the god, bringing unwanted attention and misfortune upon the pointer and his or her family. In some cases, a simple point was thought to mean much more than a bad day, with the potential to kill the pointer. Talk about going overboard. It was not just to console people but it had some truth in it which later was rejected as science is still not able to know about the nature of the soul and how it works. HANDS TO YOURSELF
