IRCITE 2023 SPECIFIC COMPETITION GUIDELINE ___________________________________________________________________________ I.T. The competition is open to students of ACT, BSCS, BSIT, BSIS, BSEMC, BSLIS, BSCpE, BMMA, BSAIS, BIT Major Comp Tech, or any computer-or-IT-related programs and Senior High School (ICT Track). 2. Each qualified school can send only a maximum of 2 teams. 3. Each team is composed of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 students. 4. Each team must come up with one (1) product which is strictly relevant to and/or with “post-pandemic” usage & purpose. Important Note: We are leaning towards new sets of marketing ideas and feasible products which can be useful to the community as we are heading back to the normal way of life that we used to have. 5. Participants must follow the official contest rules and must respect the decisions of the judges. 6. All teams must attend the webinar on Creating an IT Marketing Plan on April 18, 2023 (tentative date). 7. Winners will receive the following: • Champion • 1st Runner–up • 2nd Runner–up - Cash Prize, Plaque & Certificate of Winning Plaque & Certificate of Winning Plaque & Certificate of Winning Mechanics Teams will be provided 1 product to pitch. The presentation will be marketed to the judges/audience, while the marketing plan will be judged by qualified judges, along with the presentation. Marketing Plan: ● The marketing plan will be a document that outlines the details regarding the product, as well as your strategy to present this product as a great solution to the presented problem. ● This plan will be checked by the judges. ● The number of words/paragraphs or pages will not be limited, as long as the team can finish the plan on time. ● Each team will be given a template to follow for the marketing plan. ● The final marketing plan should be submitted in pdf format and collected via e-mail provided by the organizers. ● Incomplete marketing plans and/or altered templates will have corresponding point deductions. The Marketing Plan should include: ● ● ● ● ● Brief product introduction Pricing Product strength and weakness Unique selling position (how will you distinguish your company form competitors) Demonstration (a brief summary of the marketing presentation that explains why, how, and what is done) Presentation: ● ● ● ● ● The presentation will be the entry that will be presented to the “potential clients” of the product. This will be in the format of a powerpoint presentation. Each team will be given a maximum of 15 minutes to pitch their products in front of an audience. There is no limit to the number of slides that each team can use, as long as it can be presented within the time limit. All submitted presentations will be saved to the online drive.
