Happy Holidays Saint Anthony Middle School Families,
I am pleased to inform you about what your children are doing in my mathematics classes.
SIXTH GRADE: The students are converting fractions to decimals and percents and verse versa. They are
also dividing whole numbers and fractions by fractions. They know how to apply the rules/process used
to find the respective solutions. They have been given required quiz grade assignment, class work,
homework and critical thinking assignments. They will be tested this Friday.
SEVENTH GRADE: The students are learning how to find sales price after applying discount percent. They
are learning to find interest amount after application of the interest formula and to find total amount
that includes interest amount. They know the rules/process used to solve these respective problems.
They have been given required quiz grade assignment, classwork, homework and critical thinking
assignments. They will be tested this Friday.
EIGHTH GRADE (A): The students know how to write equations and solve them to find x and y values for
slope intercepts. They know how to graph the values. They have been given required quiz grade
assignment, classwork, homework and critical thinking assignments. They will be tested this Friday.
EIGHTH GRADE (B): The students are analyzing tables, graphing the data and showing graphical
representation of data. They are applying the slope formula to determine slope. They are solving
equations to determine constant of proportionality, unit rate and slope. They have been given required
quiz grade assignment, classwork, homework and critical thinking assignments. They will be tested this
Friday.
