It supports all the latest network technologies and smartphones. Nemo Outdoor support 5G NR (NSA, SA), LTE-A, NB-IoT and LTE-M, as well the legacy 2G-3G mobile networks testing with support to over 320 different terminals, IoT devices and scanning receivers from various vendors Nemo Outdoor enables measuring quality-of-experience (QoE) metrics for the services using the very same applications that real customers are using. Those applications run on the phone, in the very same way as with the normal consumers have. Nemo Outdoor support include advanced YouTube video testing, Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Viber, BiP, Instagram, Line and Snapchat testing. With the optional Nemo Active Testing Application functionality integrated into the Nemo Outdoor system, the smartphone measurement results reflect the real enduser experience. This gives customers the capability to understand wireless network quality from end consumer perspective, troubleshoot and optimize the network based on the results, ultimately improving customer satisfaction and reducing churn. With earlier released 8.60 and 8.61 versions, Nemo Outdoor introduced many new features including support for 5G NR field measurements with Qualcomm X50/X55 chipset-based devices, with Samsung Exynos 5100/5123 chipsetbased devices and with 3rd party scanning receivers. The collected metrics included over 90 different KPI’s for 5G NR (NSA and SA), including SA mobility events, cell measurements, physical channel information, current cell information (for each 5G subcarrier), extensive set of RACH parameters, MAC layer KPIs, RLC/PDCP KPIs, and link adaptation (for each 5G subcarrier) KPIs. In addition, we collect 5G QoS measurements including throughput, and latency. This new Nemo Outdoor release 8.70 introduces 5G NR SA support for Qualcomm SD X55 based devices and will focus to further extend 5G NR and QoE measurement capabilities and usability of Nemo Outdoor. The following chapters elaborate more details of those new features and changes of Nemo Outdoor 8.70 release. Note that this release is designed only for the Nemo Outdoor users and has not been verified for Nemo Invex II users. In Nemo Outdoor 8.61 we already introduced support for Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G with the NATA (Nemo Active Testing Application) for non-rooted devices. You can upload a measurement file or files and the Device Capability Reader will process the files and show a set of information of the devices used in the measurement. The device capabilities differ based on region and service provider so with the Device Capability Reader you can easily check the actual device capabilities at the time of the measurement. In the Device Capability Reader you can select the measurement file(s) (.nmf, .nmfs) from which the device capability information will be read. Binary logging trace results were shown only in text grid view but now in Outdoor 8.70 each of the decoded message can be shown in own column. By filtering the wanted decoded message it is easy to see the values of the messages in TTI level.
