DIL 402C Operating Instructions - Condensed Version - Starting a Measurement DIL 402 C DIL 402C Carrying Out a Measurement Explained below is how to: − set up a measurement, − create a correction curve, − and then to measure a sample. ! Detailed information " please see the hardware or software manual Step 1. Make sure that all system components are correctly connected. # Reference HARDWARE ! from Page 10 2. Switch on the thermostat at least two hours before starting the measurement. HARDWARE ! Page: 11 3. Slide the retaining nut and O-ring over the protective tube and leave them there. 8. Slide the furnace to the right to the limit stop. 9. If necessary, place sample supports in the sample holder. ndr/rf/jh/I:\DIL402C\Kurzanleitungen\402CKU_E.DO C Page 3 DIL 402C Carrying Out a Measurement 10. Place the standard sample (e.g. Al2O3 sample) on the sample supports. 11. Slide the pushrod over to the sample. Adjust the pushrod. 12. Position the thermocouple. The thermocouple must not come into contact with the sample. HARDWARE ! Page: 42 HARDWARE ! Page: 42 13. Slide the furnace carefully to the left to the limit stop.
