CASE ANALYSIS

1. What would you tell Frankie if he shares his thought with you?
I would explain to Frankie that every individual is unique. We all have a unique schedule and
path to achievement. Success is not guaranteed by a person's Level of intelligence, but it is available to
everyone who is capable of working hard and succeeding. Rudy, on the other hand, tried his best
regardless of his circumstances and family background, just as Frankie did his best to become a CPA and
be a successful one. It's not too late to make a change and put these talents into effect. Frankie may not
have had these qualities at first, but it's never too late to learn them and put them into practice. It is
something that can be studied, practiced, and developed into a success-producing habit. Additionally,
Frankie should be happy for Rudy's accomplishment rather than passing judgment.
2. In what ways are their personalities similar and different?
Both Frankie and Rudy are in the drum and bugle corps and platoon, respectively. I may conclude
that both possess the same traits, which include a desire to work together, courage, active, and passion.
Since they took up the business-related courses in college, they have a similar interest in the subject.
However, their main difference is that Frankie is academically smarter than Rudy, although Rudy is
essentially wiser in life. Since Frankie received higher grades than Rudy, they also possess different
forms of intellect. Both have different socioeconomic situations and family backgrounds. They both
achieve success, which has helped them become millionaires and billionaires now.
I come to the conclusion that one needs to be responsible, flexible, and focused on reaching a
goal if they want to achieve success like Frankie and Rudy. Additionally, failing academically does not
automatically associate to failure because success does not depend just on intelligence. No one can
predict the future, what we are today cannot be what we are tomorrow. We need to broaden our
perspectives and not rely solely on one part of life. In order to succeed, we must keep our eyes on the
horizon, be persistent, and hold onto the belief that, despite setbacks, there is always opportunity for
improvement.
Case study No. 2
1. Is there anything wrong with the manner the shortlist was prepared by Gloria? Explain.
Certainly, yes. The shortlist was created in an unfair and highly biased manner by Miss Gloria
Tadino. She made the decision to reject a candidate with the same name as her ex-boyfriend without any
rational or legal justification. Miss Gloria was not at all professional, and it was evident in the way she
completed that duty. She allowed her emotional state to get in the way of her work. She ought to have
gathered information, evaluated each applicant's resume in accordance with the requirements established
by the business, or simply reviewed each applicant's qualifications to identify someone who truly
deserves inclusion on the shortlist. Additionally, it was unfair to exclude applicants merely because they
had the same as hi ex- boyfriend's university and college provinces of graduation.
2. What could have been done by Gloria to come up with the 10 names? How can the 10 shortlisted
applicants increase their chances of being accepted?
Miss Gloria must have done it with a difficult challenge to come up with the 10 names from over 50
down to 30 applicants. To make the best decision when selecting candidates for a job opening, Miss
Gloria must exhibit an impartial personality free from prejudice and preconceptions in her role as
recruitment supervisor. Miss Gloria ought to separate her personal life from her business, and she should
have created the list in accordance with the requirements rather than on an individual basis. Because they
were chosen based on the minimum requirements of the organization, the chosen candidates will therefore
be effective and efficient once hired.
Thus, one must carry out their obligations as an employee of a business objectively and without
bias. A company's most precious strength is its people and they should take good care of them..
Supervisors have a responsibility to make sure that employees and other potential employees have a fair
opportunity to demonstrate that they are deserving of a certain position within the organization. The
quality of our job can be impacted by our perceptual biases. So, we must refrain from making judgements,
in order to be more efficient and operative in carrying out our obligations and responsibilities. We must
avoid being subjective at work since it can be harmful to a company.
