THE
BEKOL SAVANA
In stark contrast to the lush
green scenery in most areas
of Java Island, Baluran
National Park, which is
located on the eastern tip of
Java Island, namely in
Situbondo Regency, East
Java Province, is actually a
lowland area dominated by
savannas,
where
wild
animals can roam freely. .
Here, you can see various
kinds of animals, such as
bulls, mouse deer, peacocks,
eagles, and monkeys.
Baluran National Park is a
nature conservation area that
has
native
ecosystems
managed by a zoning system
that is used for research,
science, education, supporting
cultivation,
tourism
and
recreation purposes.

1 – Watch The Wildlife
its large grassy plain with
few trees, savanna, called
Bekol Savanna
The exotic wildlifes that
roams freely
Baluran National Park hosts 26
mammal species, including
the
endangered
banteng,
Sumatran
dhole,
Indian
muntjac, Java mouse-deer,
fishing cat, Javan leopard and
Javan lutung. The visitors are
allowed
to
watch
those
animals roam around
3 – Hiking
If you ever feel like hiking, Baluran
National Park has 3 easy hiking trails
that are great for people to go hiking
at, with trails ranging from 31 to 136
meters in elevation gain.

We can go snorkeling at the
"Bama Beach" which is located 3
kilometers
from
the
"Bekol
Savanna" . While snorkeling you
can play with the fishes in the
water and see the colorful corals
and reef
