Engineers shall recognize that the lives, safety, health and welfare of the general public are dependent of engineering judgement, decisions and practices incorporated into structures machines, machines, products processes and devices. 2. Engineers shall not approve nor seal plans and/or specifications that do not conform with accepted engineering standards and are not design safe as it would endanger public health and welfare 3. Should the engineering’ professional judgement be overruled other circumstances where the safety, health, and welfare of the public are endangered, the engineer shall inform their clients or employers of the possible consequences and notify other proper authorities of the situation, as may be appropriate. 4. They shall advise proper authorities if an adequate review of the safety and reliability of the products or system has not been made or when the design imposes hazards to the public through its use . 5. Engineers should be committed in improving the environment to enhance the quality of life 2 a. ENGINEERS SHALL ISSUE PUBLIC STATEMENT ONLY IN OBJECTIVE AND TRUTHFUL MANNER. b. Engineers shall be completely objective and truthful in all professional reports, statement, or testimony. c. Engineers shall act in such manner to uphold and enhance the honour, integrity and dignity of the profession. d. engineers should observe conditions, which Shealth, they shall inform the proper authorities of the situation. e. Engineers should endevour to extend the public knowledge of engineering, and shall not participate in dissemination of untrue and unfair or exaggerated statements regarding engineering 2b i. ii. iii. i should hold paramount safety health and welfare of the public in performance of their professional duties. I shall perform services only in the areas of their competence. I shall issue public statements only in an objective and truthful manner.
