EXPLANATION
Complete this lab as follows:
1. From ITAdmin, open the company's help desk ticketing system named Issue Trax.
a. From the taskbar, select Issue Trax.
b. Maximize the window for better viewing.
2. Create a new ticket requesting to document Joshua's issue.
a. Select New.
b. Configure the ticket as follows:
Summary: Cannot connect to the network
Description: Came in this morning and cannot access any network devices or the internet
Contact Info: Joshua - ext. 234
Device Info: Office2 Win11
Priority: High
Assignee: Joshua Anderson
Due Date: Today
Category: Network
c. Select Save.
3. From Office2, replicate the problem.
a. From the top left, select Floor 1 Overview.
b. Under Office 2, select Office2.
c. In the notification area, hover the mouse over the network icon.
Notice that the computer is not connected to the network.
d. Right-click Start and select Windows Terminal (Admin).
e. At the PowerShell prompt, type ipconfig and press Enter to view information about the network adapter.
Notice that the media is disconnected.
4. Verify the physical configuration of the computer.
a. From the top left, select Office 2 to access the hardware.
b. Above the desktop computer, select Back to switch to the back view of the computer.
c. Select the network cable.
d. Make sure that the other end of the network cable is plugged into the wall outlet.
Because the network cable is connected to the computer and the wall outlet, it appears that the cable
might be faulty.
5. Connect to the network using a known good networking cable.
a. On the back of the computer, drag the RJ45 Connector to the Workspace to disconnect it.
b. Drag the RJ45 connector from the wall outlet to the Workspace.
c. Under Shelf, expand Cables and select the CAT6a Cable, RJ45 (this type of cable supports Gigabit
speed).
d. From the Selected Component pane:
Drag the RJ45 Shielded Connector to the network card on the computer.
Drag the unconnected RJ45 Shielded Connector to the network connection on the wall outlet.
6. Verify the connection.
a. On the Office2 monitor, select Click to view Windows 11 to switch to the operating system view.

7. Add a comment to the ticket and close the ticket.
a. From the top left, select Floor 1 Overview.
b. Under IT Administration, select ITAdmin.
c. Open the ticket you created for this issue, and in the New Comment field, enter a comment of your choice
to indicate that the computer now has access to the network and internet.
d. Select + (plus sign) to add the comment.
e. From the top of the ticket, select Closed.
f. Close Issue Trax.
