College Essay to New York Institute of Technology
As a technology lover, computer science is a field that is close to my heart as my passion for this field is
never-ending. Graduates with a Computer Science degree can work in a variety of industries such as
healthcare, finance, retail, and entertainment. They can also work for technology companies or start
their own businesses. Big data analytics, in particular, is becoming increasingly important as companies
and organizations look to make data-driven decisions and gain insights from the vast amounts of
information available to them.
Firstly, attending New York Institute of Technology could be beneficial for me in pursuing a career in
computer science and big data analytics for several reasons. Firstly, New York Tech has a strong
reputation for its computer science programs, with experienced faculty and modern facilities to provide
students with a top-notch education. Additionally, New York Tech provides a strong foundation in
computer science theory, programming languages, software development methodologies, and software
engineering principles. Students can gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing
software through various projects and internships. This will aid in attaining my first major goal of
acquiring a sound education in the field of computer science.
Secondly, attending New York Institute of Technology opens up opportunity for potential scholarships
and waivers in my education. This is critical as living in a third-world country in the Caribbean, affording
university tuition aboard is nearly impossible. Thus, at this family-oriented university it gives me the
opportunity to receive financial which reduces my tuition expenses and allows me to graduate which is
my second major goal.
Thirdly, the university is located in New York City, which is a hub for technology companies and startups,
providing students with excellent networking opportunities and exposure to real-world projects as well
as potential job prospects upon graduation. Hence this brings me to my third major goal being an
increase in my chance of attaining potential job after graduating.
Overall, attending New York Institute of Technology can provide Computer Science majors with the
skills, knowledge, and connections needed to achieve their career goals in the technology industry and I
hope this university can assist in making my dream happen.
