Assessment task: Essay Writing
Write a 1000-word essay on the importance of regular assessment of students’ learning in listening,
speaking, reading and writing skills. Explain within your essay the importance of Bloom’s Taxonomy in
designing assessment tasks.
Performance indicators
Content standards will be assessed by the extent to which the student teacher is able to:
 show a clear understanding of the topic discussed
 explain the value of Bloom’s taxonomy in designing assessment tasks
 write with clarity and present ideas in a logical way
