Psychology
What is PSYCHOLOGY?
Psychology is the science of mind and behavior. Psychologists study
thoughts, brain function, behaviors, emotions, personality, and human
development, and take into account all the different aspects of being a person,
says Adam Borland, PsyD, a clinical psychologist at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Basically, psychology supports people in large part because it can explain
why people act the way they do. With this kind of professional insight, a
psychologist can help people improve their decision making, stress
management and behavior based on understanding past behavior to better
guess future behavior. All of this can help people have a more successful
career, healthier relationships, more self-confidence and have better
communication.

knowledge of organizational development, attitudes,
career development, decision theory, human
performance and human factors, consumer behavior,
small group theory and process, criterion theory and

their team members. The overall goal of the organizational
psychologist is to empower each and every person in the
company and to encourage them to have healthy personal and
work lives, as well as strengthen relationships within the
company.

it because a lot of the main ideas are already familiar, so almost
everything makes sense. Social psychology uses scientific
principles and methods to help you understand why things
happen in your daily life.
Importance of Social Psychology
Social psychology helps people manage
their stress, depression and other social
issues and improve their decisions making
and predict accurate future behavior.
3. Clinical Psychology
The field of Clinical Psychology integrates science, theory,

maladjustment, and personal development. It focuses on the
intellectual, emotional, biological, psychological, social, and

Some of the disorders are depression, extreme sadness,
discouragement, loss of appetite, and severe anxiety. If any
