For example, in English and Filipino subjects, the Written Work has 30 % equivalent, while the Performance Task has 50% and the Quarterly Assessment has 20%. The teacher also reminded the participants about the proper wearing of school uniforms for those who were able to secure the prescribed uniform of the school, and explained that the wearing of civilian attire is still allowed as long as it is clean and presentable. Further , he told the parents that the school does not allow the children to wear spaghetti dresses, mini skirts, sleeveless dresses, tattered jeans and those which looked indecent and improper for the students. In addition , the teacher also reminded the parents to have their children haircut of 2x3 every first Monday of the month. With regards to student’s ID, the adviser explained that based on the memo by Deped, IDs should be given by free to the students. However, it is the students who would shoulder the expenses for the picture, lamination and for the sling which will cost them around 90 Ph. It is considered as one of the important teaching tools of the teachers in teaching learning process, considering that most of the students are classified as Visual learners which have tendency to follow and learn the discussion when they see moving visuals in front of them. Whereas, the old TV set in the classroom is no longer functional as it was acquired almost 8 years ago, and there’s really a need to purchase another one. Whereas, the price of one ordinary TV surveyed by the parent has amounted to 10,000.00 Ph which will be shared by the two classes occupying the classroom. Whereas, the Grade 7 Gumamela has a total enrollee of 46 students. Whereas, a parent, MRS. SALLY CABELLO moved for the approval of a resolution to encourage every parent and guardian to contribute the amount of 150 Ph in order to purchase a new TV set . As expected , a total of 7,050 Ph will be collected if all the parents and guardians will contribute the said amount. The 5,000 Ph of this will be used as the class share for the total amount to be raised . The remaining half of the amount will be shouldered by the other class occupying the classroom. Whereas, the moved was duly seconded by another parent by the name of MRS.LENIE JOY ALO. Whereas, the parent unanimously approved the said resolution. Resolved, as it is hereby resolved that the parents and guardians of the students of Grade 7 Gumamela will contribute 150.00 Ph in order to raise the half of the amount needed to buy a new TV set. In addition, the body set the last day of the month ( of September ) as the deadline for the contribution. Other Matters: In response to the principal’s call get involved in the effort to beautify the school premises, the parents headed by its Homeroom PTCA President pledged that they are going to bring potted plants in the school. This means that each parent will bring an ornamental potted plant. Not only that, they also agreed to send manpower once the school will demand for the Bayanihan. Further, the teacher informed the parents that the school does not allow students to make projects or conduct practice for their performance task outside of the school after the dismissal time, thus parents can always expect their students to be at home after 12:15pm dismissal.
