Eligibility: Students must have a minimum of a 3.000 cumulative UCLA GPA to apply and to have completed both Lower
Division requirements with a minimum grade of B-. At least 20 units must be unique to Data Science and not counting
towards any other major or minor. Supplement with Electives below if necessary.
Lower Division Requirements - 8 units
CS 32 4 units *you will additionally need to take CS 31 or an equivalent.
Math 33A 4 units *requisite Math courses are not specifically required, but instructors expect students with Math 33A credit to
have a calculus foundation. Also check enforced requisites for upper division courses.
Upper Division Requirements - 12 units from the following:
One probability course from: Stats 100A, EC Engr 131A, C&EE 110, Math 170A, or Math 170E 4 units
