Speaking task: Let’s talk about climate change.
Some people claim climate change is just part of a natural cycle and
that it is not man-made.
1- What is climate change? Is it the same as global warming? What
dangers are threatening our planet and our lives? Make a list of
such dangers.
2- Do you believe in climate change? If so, why do you think it is
happening?
3- Should we be worried about climate change? Why? why not? Are
you worried? What should be done to stop climate change?
4- Compare and contrast poor developing countries efforts to
reduce pollution to wealthy industrialized countries. Should the
efforts be similar? Why? Why not?
5- You work for your local village / town / city council. Develop a
plan to increase the size of the green area. Use pictures and
graphs roughly to design that plan.
