Use of Graphic Organizers
Graphic organizers can take many forms, such as concept maps, Venn
diagram, flow charts, mind maps, etc. These graphic organizers can help
students visually organize their thoughts and ideas while reading. This is
helpful especially for students who are struggling with retaining information.

Vocabulary Instruction
Improving the student’s vocabulary can also significantly improve the
reading comprehension of the students by providing explicit vocabulary
instruction, reading practice by allowing students to read a variety of texts
such as fiction and nonfiction, and providing opportunities for students to
practice using their new vocabulary into context.
