The central idea of both text is there are benefits
to failure and find success doing what you love to
do
There are benefits to failure and find success by doing whatever you love to do and this is
portrayed in both of the speeches in several different ways
The central idea is shown in steve jobs speech and it is shown in many ways says many
time that there are benefits to failure he says”The heaviness of being successful was replaced
by the lightness of being a beginner again” This quote was saying that he could start over and
he found that he didn’t make as many mistakes because he had already been through this
before and he had built up his knowledge and he could start over and that is a benefits to failure
and when you fail you think about everything allowing you to connect the dots and further
examine your mistakes and even when steve jobs had failed he in his own words he said”I still
loved what i did and the turn of events at apple hadn’t changed that”
The central idea is portrayed in jk rowlings because if is shown throughout the entire
story jk shows that there are benefits to failure and she says”I’m not going to sit here and tell
that failure is fun” while many people do say that failure can be a wakeup call or some lightness
after years of heavy success but while that is true another benefit to failure is that failure isn’t
fun and is definitely isn’t easy and to elaborate on this she says”It was like a dark tunnel with no
end in sight or light up ahead it was just darkness” She did indeed fail drastically after being in
an abusive marriage and having a child and moving to scotland and she had to get a restraining
order on her estranged husband because he came seeking her and her daughter her book was
rejected 20 times by 20 different publisher and after all she still loved to write books and she
prevailed and she got there from rock bottom and from the benefits of failure
In conclusion in both of the speeches there were benefits to failure and it was shown that
they both loved what they did and they never gave up on their passion when jobs was fired he
kept going when rowling's book was rejected she kept going because when your at rock bottom
you have nowhere to go but up and that is the greatest benefit to failure and you should f?ind
success in doing what makes you happy win the race running in your own style
