In the body, we usually explain what the situation in our countries is, we mention the
difficulties or the challenges, the improvements and achievements, the measures taken, the
projects or plans to improve, the policies adopted, the laws passed, ….
Finally, in the conclusion we usually recommend the committee take certain steps or we
suggest delegates should agree on specific measures/strategies/solutions….

Find a QUOTE/NEWS/STATISTICS about the importance of INVESTING IN CLEAN,
AFFORDABLE ENERGIES, and complete the paragraph with information related to your
country about THE RATE OF PEOPLE THAT LIVE WITHOUT ACCESS TO ENERGY, OR ABOUT THE
COST OF ENERGY PRODUCTION, OR THE RATE OF PEOPLE THAT CANNOT AFFORD TO GET
WARM, ETC…

Which are the three most negative/positive aspects related to goal 7 in your country
or region?
Does everybody have access to energy? Can they afford it? Is it clean? What are the
main challenges? Are people aware of the importance of goal 7? And your government? Have
they taken any measures or passed any laws to improve or achieve any target?

Decide which the 3 most serious problems in your country are or the 3 key challenges
your country faces in the short term and try to find what strategies other countries have
implemented to improve similar problems or to face similar challenges.
Think what resources your country would need if you had to implement those
strategies.
Then devise a plan of action, what would be the first step, and the second….?
