ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND
ACTIVITY 3
I. DO THE FOLLOWING TASKS: Make a research and answer in an essay form.
1. Differentiate goals from objectives. Give examples for each one.
-goa A goals can be intangible and non-measurable, but objectives are defined in terms of
tangible targets.
1.Goals example:
-To pass this course I've chosen.
2.Objectives example.
-Attending all the discussions in every subject.
Goals and objectives are both important in setting targets and achieving success, but
they have distinct differences. Goals refer to broad outcomes or intentions, while
objectives are specific and measurable steps taken to reach those outcomes.
A goal is a statement of a desired result that is general, long-term, and broad in scope.
It is often intangible and not easily measurable. For example, a personal goal could be
to become a better person or to improve one's overall health. A business goal could be
to increase market share or improve brand recognition. Goals provide direction and
motivation for individuals and organizations to work towards their desired outcomes.
Objectives, on the other hand, are specific, measurable, and time-bound. They are the
steps that need to be taken to achieve a goal. Objectives provide a clear picture of what
needs to be accomplished and when it needs to be done. For example, an objective for
a personal goal of improving health could be to exercise for 30 minutes every day or to
consume more fruits and vegetables. A business objective for improving brand
recognition could be to increase social media followers by 20% in the next six months or
to launch a new marketing campaign.
To further illustrate the difference between goals and objectives, let us consider a
student taking a course in college. The student's goal may be to pass the course.
Objectives that the student can set to achieve this goal include attending all the
discussions in every subject, submitting assignments on time, and studying for at least
three hours a day.
In summary, goals are broad outcomes that are general and long-term, while objectives
are specific, measurable, and time-bound steps that need to be taken to achieve those
outcomes. Both are important in setting targets and achieving success, and
understanding the difference between the two can help individuals and organizations
create effective plans to reach their desired outcomes.
2. Identify the set of character traits under the achievement, planning and power clusters.
From each cluster, choose one character trait that in your opinion best describes you.
Provide one personal experience for each that demonstrates that trait.
ACHIEVEMENT CLUSTER
 includes entrepreneurial qualities that are closely tied to the entrepreneur's
ambition to succeed in the field of entrepreneurship.
-For me, achievement cluster is having ambitiousness, the driven and determination to
succeed and accomplish challenging goals. My personal experience is that I have always
been driven to achieve my goals, both personally and professionally. One example of this
is when I set goal to have high grades. I started prioritizing my academic requirements ,
waking up early to review my notes and constantly tracking my progress. Despite setbacks
and challenges along the way, I remained determined and focused on my goal, and
ultimately got what I intend to achieve.
PLANNING CLUSTER
-is a group of features exhibited by successful business people that essentially supports the
personality traits in the achievement cluster.
- For me, the planning cluster is having strategic thinking, it is the ability to plan and
execute a long-term strategy to achieve specific goals. One example of my strategic
thinking is when we are grouped to have a research activity. We created a detailed research
plan, breaking down the work into smaller tasks and assigning responsibilities to team
members.
3. Describe the importance of knowing oneself in the field of entrepreneurship.
-The importance is that self-awareness is the key to confidence, and leadership is built on
confidence. A new company needs strong leadership to grow the market, draw in
customers, inspire the staff, and overcome challenges.
Self-awareness is critical for success in the field of entrepreneurship. It allows
enntrepreneurs to build strong teams, manage stress, communicate effectively, and lead
with confidence. By investing time and effort into self-reflection and sel-awareness,
entrepreneurs can set themselves up for success in their ventures.
