Cold Email Writing Templates Does writing cold emails make you want to vomit and cry at the same time? I think it has that effect on everyone. The only thing worse is a phone call…don’t even get me started on the effects cold calling has on my immune system. Anyway. I’m glad you’ve taken the first step on how to stop wasting your time by writing bad emails. Although many people are moving to Slack, WhatsApp, and other forms of communication, email is still highly used by the majority of professionals. It’s not controlled by algorithms and it’s a direct way to get in contact with the person you need to be in touch with. On the other hand, emails are inherently impersonal and cold in nature. Also, people are easily overwhelmed by their inboxes and most of the time do not want to receive unsolicited, impersonal emails. If not carefully written, most will go only in one place – our good friend the trash can. Having an email template handy will not only save you time, it will give you a higher chance of getting a response. Coming up with new content for your emails every time can be a long and boring process, not to mention shallow work. My goal is to shorten your time doing shallow work so that you can spend more time in deep work, doing what you do best. In the name of better writing and making better use of your email efforts, I’ve created some email templates for you to create personal emails that will have a better impact. They each will require a bit of research, because you’ll have to fill in the blanks about the person you’re emailing. I don’t believe in mass emailing. There will be 4 intro templates: • • • • The “something in common” The “I saw your post about X” The “congratulations on X” The “I heard about you from X” Which you can combine with the 4 action templates: • • • • The “let’s chat about how [your service] can help [brand]” The “could you put me in touch with the right person” The “shall we meet for a coffee?” The “would you like to see [your service] for free?” Mix and match to work with your own service or product. I hope they bring you success, and if you have another kind of email you’d like a template for, please feel free to reach out to me at hello@maevaeverywhere.com, with the subject line “Gimme more templates, fool!” Happy emailing. Best wishes, www.maevaeverywhere.com Legend Before you can fill out the email templates, you’ll need to complete this section.
