Preface
These operating instructions document the moisture controller MYFC-MOZF.
The operating instructions have to be handed over to those persons who are
responsible for the operation and the supervision of these devices. These
operating instructions contain the information required for the user regarding
installation, operation and maintenance. Description of activities that do not require
any special knowledge have been omitted. Repair instructions that exceed the
normal maintenance work are not provided.
The machine meets all acknowledged safety regulations. However, improper use
can involve physical danger for the user. Highest priority, therefore, has been given
to safety.
The corresponding safety instructions are marked as follows:

Safety
1.1
Safety of persons
•

1.2
Safety covers must always be installed and locked. Open or removed safety
covers are danger spots for crushing and cutting injuries.
Always keep safety devices in good working condition. Safety devices must not
be bridged over or put out of operation.
Maintenance work at the machine or parts thereof must only take place with
the installation at a standstill!
Ensure that all power sources such as:
– electricity
– pneumatics
– water
are switched off and interrupted. Set service or local switches to «0» and
secure with lock against being switched on again.

Installation / commissioning

The devices may only be installed, connected and commissioned by qualified
personnel. The qualified personnel must have knowledge of types of
protection, rules and regulations for operating materials in Ex areas.
Check whether the classification (see marking on the device) is appropriate for
the application.

1.3.1
Installation instructions / assembly
• Avoid static charges on plastic devices and cables.
• To avoid static charges, only clean the device with a damp cloth.
• Do not install the device in the dust flow.
• Avoid dust accumulation on the devices.
• Protect devices and cables effectively against damage
(e.g. no installation in or near transport routes or crane travel routes).
• For connection allocation and electrical parameters, see marking on the device
or operating instructions.
• Only remove any sealing plugs of cable screw connections or plugs
immediately before inserting lines or screwing on socket in order to prevent dirt
entering.
• Avoid dust deposits in the switch cabinets by keeping them closed wherever
possible. If dust has accumulated, clean the cabinets with a suitable vacuum
cleaner (EX area).
1.3.2
Special conditions for safe operation
• Devices with connection room (cable screw connections) have reduced control
cable relief. Sufficient cable relief must be ensured or the cable must be
permanently laid.
• For devices with connection room, do not disconnect connection leads when
energized.
• For plug connections, a warning sign must be fitted near the plug connection
switch the warning «Do not separate when energized».
If available, use the sticker supplied.

Service / Maintenance
No modifications may be made to the device. This also applies to repairs (e.g. no
replacement of components with other products). If in doubt, please contact the
manufacturer.
1.5
Safety concept
The moisture controller MYFC/MOZF is normally part of an installation and therefore integrated into the safety concept of the installation.
If the moisture controller MYFC/MOZF is not used within this safety concept, the
user has to redefine the risk estimation of the dangers involved and has to take
suitable measures.
After the initial startup and safety inspection, the CE sign can be mounted and
the EC Declaration of Conformity issued (see chapter 6.1).

The MYFC does not replace laboratory measurements. The device measures online the product
moisture and reacts to fluctuations in raw moisture.
The raw moisture has to be checked periodically.
In addition please note that the B1 moisture has to
be checked as well. Losses that can occur due to
transport or in the silo cannot be corrected by the
MYFC.
Please note that differences may occur with different
product. These differences can be corrected via the
recipe parameters.

Description of the dampening system
3.1
Structure and application possibilities of the dampening system
3.1.1
Functional description
The MYFC/MOZF moisture controller is used to determine the product moisture of
wheat. Here it is possible to determine the natural moisture as well as the moisture
of tempered wheat (Note standing times).
The moisture control system requires no external data in order to be able to
calculate the correct amount of water. All necessary parameters are determined by
the moisture control unit MYFC. The system can therefore be integrated into any
cleaning process.
The system basically consists of two machines:
The moisture control unit MYFC and the liquids flow controller MOZF.
The moisture control unit MYFC continually measures the moisture of the wheat.
The measurements are made with the use of microwave measuring technology.
The product flows through a bypass (approx. 2 t/h), which is equipped with various
sensors. The current moisture of the product is calculated from the microwave
signal, the weight in the container and the product temperature.
Based upon this current moisture, the pre-set nominal moisture and the current
product flow, the MYFC calculates the required water volume, which is transmitted
to the water dosing unit. The MOZF then controls the calculated water volume.

3.1.2
Control of the moisture
This is the normal operation of the moisture control. The user enters a moisture
nominal value and the system doses the required water volume to achieve this
nominal value.
3.1.3
Percent dampening
Only the current product flow and a nominal water value in percent are needed for
percent dampening. The system calculates the required water value on the basis of
the product flow. This mode of operation is used as a pre- or after-dampening
when a defined percentage of water should be added.
This mode of operation can be implemented in different ways:
• Percent dampening with MYFC
• Percent dampening without MYFC
Percent dampening with MYFC
This mode of operation is used in the following situations.
1. The user would like to add a certain percentage of moisture. This is not
recommended, however, since the operation mode of the MYFC must be
switched over.
2. There is a problem with the moisture measurement. The level control and the
metering slide gate work perfectly. This mode of operation can be switched on
temporarily until the problem with the moisture measurement is rectified.
The advantage is that the water volume is calculated correctly even when the
product flow varies.

Percent dampening without MYFC (only MOZF)
The percent dampening can be implemented without MYFC, since the moisture
determination of the wheat is not required. The MOZF calculates the required water
volume. For this the current product flow must be known, however; i.e. one or more
dosing elements must be connected to the MOZF. The MOZF then independently
totals the sum over all connected dosing or scale elements. This mode should only
be used with relay controls. If a control system is available, the MOZF should be
operated as a litre dosing device, as the capacity of the check weigher is known to
the control system.
Functional description MOZF
Configuration is very simple. The parameter TCON.CTRL determines how many
dosing elements were connected to the MOZF. The MOZF now automatically tests
which and how many check weighers are connected to the bus. For percent
dampening, only the current flow capacity of the check weighers is relevant. Error
messages of the check weighers are not processed.
The following faults result in an alarm message:
• The number of check weighers is <> TCON.CTRL
• The sum of dosing capacities is > TCON.FMAX

Litre dosing
This mode of operation is always switched on at the MOZF. The litre dosing mode
is used in the following situations:
1. Only a MOZF is used to pre-set a water volume. No moisture control unit
MYFC is available. The water volume is pre-set via an interface or locally at the
device.
Example: Dampening 1. break flour or B1
2. The product flow measurement of the MYFC does not function, or the
connection between MYFC and MOZF is interrupted. In this case the MOZF
must be switched over to litre dosing or manual operation.
3.1.5
Manual operation
This mode of operation is only necessary when the MOZF does not function. The
water volume is set via a tap and can be read at the sight glass. The water flow is
stopped as soon as the product detection probe of the dampener is no longer
covered or the release is interrupted.
In case of a malfunction in the MYFC, the MOZF should be switched over to litre
dosing (3.1.4). This allows the MOZF to continue regulating and controlling the
water flow.

The MYFC can also be operated with a liquid flow control MOZE. Differences exist
only in the lock. The product probe of the dampener must be linked in the system

Remote control
The remote control can be connected at any time. The remote control allows all
functions and displays present on the device.
The remote control can be connected to the MYFC and the MOZF. If there is an
MYFC with remote control, no remote control is needed for the MOZF since the
current water flow and error messages of the MOZF are already displayed on the
MYFC. If the MOZF is used for percent dampening or litre dosing, a remote control
is useful.

Transport
Note:
The transport must only be handled by persons who are familiar with and
trained for this task.

Handling with a crane
A crane can be used to unload and transport the equipment.
Caution: The hoisting gear has to be checked for the required design and the
permissible load capacity. The moisture control unit must only be lifted with the
transportation safety device installed by Bühler.
Attach the ropes only at the eyebolts provided for this purpose.

Installation
5.1
Location
Note:
When adjusting the height of the device, be sure that the overflow container
does not rest on the Flowbalancer, but rather hangs at the upper table board
(otherwise the metering slide gate scrapes on the inlet spout in the Flowbalancer).

First tighten the transport safety screws by hand. Then screw the eyebolts into
the upper table board and hang the MYFC on a crane. Now the lateral screws
on both table boards (upper and lower boards) can be loosened. The machine
can now be moved down by lowering the crane.
The control unit must be mounted free from vibration on a solid floor or on the
ceiling.
Supply and discharge elements/machines may not be screwed to the control
unit.
Select the place of installation for the unit so that the electronics are not
exposed to direct sunlight.

6.1
Checklist for verifying EU conformity

The following items must be checked prior to commissioning of the machine:
1. The operator has been informed that the operating instructions must always be
accessible to the personnel and that is he is responsible for instructing the
personnel.
2. Assembly and installation have been carried out according to the operating
instructions.
3. If erected in an Ex-zone, the machine must be earthed properly.
6.2
Initial start-up MYFC
6.2.1
Setting the parameters
The following points must be checked before start-up:
1. Remove the transportation safety device of the measuring container
(yellow-headed screws).
2. TCON.FMAX
The maximum cleaning capacity + approx. 20 % must be set. This value
should not be too large, since the level control reacts differently at a setting of
2 tons than at 60 tons.
3. TCON.T1
This time determines the maximum delay between the release and the
detection of the product in the MYFC. See 10.2
4. TCON.T2
This determines the maximum time the product needs from the MYFC to the
dampener. Set the time with adequate tolerance (+100 %). If there is no flow
detection probe, deactivate the monitoring with 0. See 10.2
5. Settings only when a control system is present.
Set the parameter SYS correctly according to the wiring. See 8.5.5
Set the parameter HOST correctly. See 8.5.7
6. Settings only when a MEAF remote control is available.
Set the parameter SYS.DISP correctly. See 8.5.5
7. Settings of the recipes with valid starting values
Load at least Recipe 0 with valid values. See 8.5.3
8. Checking the mechanics
The following points must be checked:
– The measuring container must be center-mounted and hang freely.
– The level measuring rod must turn freely.
– The MZAH slide may not touch even when completely open.
9. Checking the sensors
The sensors are aligned during manufacture. A brief check of the values and
zero points is recommended, however. A new alignment need not be made.

The following settings must be checked when the product is dosed:
1. The throttle flap for the measuring container must be set correctly. At the
normal rate the product should need approx. 10 seconds to flow through the
sight glass. This amounts to a flow rate of approx. 1.5 t/h. For very low flow
rates < 3 t/h a flow time of approx. 15 seconds should be selected.
The adjustment is made with the two adjusting screws.

2. Check the inlet aspiration. The inlet aspiration should be approx. 3…5 m³/min.
3. Check the outlet aspiration. The outlet aspiration may be a maximum of
2 m³/min. Check for secondary air at the dampener. This can otherwise lead to
major measurement errors.
4. Take a product sample and adjust the moisture offset in the corresponding
recipe. REC.OFFS
5. Check the flow capacity of the MZAH (reference check weigher or capacity
measurement). If large deviations occur, the alignment and the mechanics of
the baffle plate must be checked. The output can be adapted with parameter
TCON.FCOR.
Note:
The inlet and outlet aspiration values must be strictly adhered to. Incorrect air
volumes can influence the measurement.

Alignment of the measuring container
1. Ensure that the measuring container is empty. If necessary, open the metering
slide gate with the pneumatic push button.
2. Set the calibration switch to the CAL position.
3. For the zero adjustment change to the ADC.ZWT menu and press the F-key.
SET appears during the weight acceptance and after the adjustment 0 is
displayed. Fluctuations of ±50 grams are normal.
4. Attach one of the supplied 3 kg reference weights to the hook of the measuring
container.

Alignment of the internal cabinet temperature measurement CINT
1. Set the calibration switch to CAL position.
2. Set Jumper X60 to CAL position (see 8.3.3 Auxiliary board EBD1293).
3. Change to parameter ADC.CINT and press the F-key; SET appears now on
the display.
4. Re-set Jumper X60 to RUN position.
5. Change to parameter ADC.INTT. The correct temperature (± approx. 3 °C)
must be displayed.
6. Set the calibration switch to RUN position.
Alignment of the external product temperature measurement CEXT
1. Set the calibration switch to CAL position.
2. Set Jumper X62 to CAL position (see 8.3.3 Auxiliary board EBD1293).
3. Change to parameter ADC.CEXT and press the F-key; SET appears now on
the display.
4. Re-set Jumper X62 to RUN position.
5. Change to parameter ADC.EXTT. The correct temperature (± ca. 3 °C) must
be displayed.
6. Set the calibration switch to RUN position.
Note:
It is possible to adjust the temperature more precisely. However, this does not
have any effect on the accuracy of the measurement, as only temperature
changes are relevant. For this the temperature must be measured with a
temperature gauge. The measured value can now be entered for the
corresponding parameter CINT or CEXT. Then press the F-key (X62 / X60
remain on RUN) and the temperature now corresponds to the measured value.

Alignment of the microwave unit
1. Set the calibration switch to the CAL position.
2. Be sure that the internal temperature measurement is adjusted.
CAL INTT appears on the display if the temperature is outside of the tolerance.
Check the parameter ADC.INTT. The cabinet temperature must be displayed
(± approx. 3 °C). If the display is not correct, make alignment 6.2.5.
3. Check SVV parameter. The settings must correspond to the data on the
microwave module.
4. Connect the supplied reference resistor.

5. Change to parameter ADC.CHF and press the F-key. SET appears and after
adjustment 10.00 dB is displayed.
6. Remove the reference resistor and fasten the plugs again correctly. No force is
to be exerted on the measuring container. The cable must be connected
horizontally.

6.3
Initial start-up MOZF
6.3.1
Venting the system
To guarantee the function of the MOZF from the beginning, the system must be
vented and the pressure reduction valve correctly adjusted.
See section 9.1
1. Turn the Manual / Automatic selector to vertical position so that the water can
flow through the sight glass.
2. Lay the test and service connection so that the water can be drained through
the hose connection into a container.
3. Open the water tap completely.
4. The MOZF can be tested with the parameter SERV.VA. As soon as a litre
value is stipulated there, water dosing starts immediately. Independently of the
release, the product probe and serial nominal values.
5. Vent the water filter and activate the relay manually again.
6. After venting, return the Manual / Automatic selector to the horizontal position
so that the water can flow through the control valve and water meter.
Set the test and service connection to the original position. The MOZF is now
ready to dose water.
6.3.2
Checking the release and product probe
The MOZF is locked via the signals of the release and the product probe. The
signals must be checked so that the unit can start correctly.
6.3.3
MOZF as percent dampening
1. Set the parameter SYS.REM. See 9.3.5.
2. If there is a serial HOST-connectivity, set the parameter HOST correctly.
See 9.3.4.
3. Set the parameter TCON.CTRL to the correct number of connected dosing
elements. If no addresses have been defined for the dosing elements, then
each device must be set with a different address. If the number is entered
incorrectly, ERR 17 HSTI appears.
4. Set the parameter TCON.FMAX correctly. This parameter defines the limit
value of the sum of all dosing elements. If the sum exceeds this value, an ERR
63 FMAX is given.

Alignment of the water meter
If the water volume must be corrected, the parameter TCON.WCNT must be
adjusted. The measurement must be made at the operating point. Fluctuations
occur with very small dosing volumes.
Note:
Do not use the water feed rate for the correction; work instead with the total
sum counter (see SERV.VA from Version 26A onwards or Σ3).
This prevents temporary control deviations from leading to a miscalculation!
The following calculation can be used for the correction.

7.3
Offset and nominal value adjustment of the moisture
The correct setting of the nominal moisture and the moisture offset is essential for
the operation of the device.
The B1 moisture is of great significance for optimal grinding. With the MYFC the
moisture is regulated in a storage cell before filling. Various influences can change
the moisture of the wheat after dampening:
• Temperature and relative humidity
• Long transport distances to the storage cell
• Conveyance by means of suction pneumatics
• etc.
These influences can change daily. Thus it is essential that the B1 moisture be
checked.
There are basically two possibilities for calibrating the MYFC:
1. The moisture of the dry wheat is measured and if there are deviations from the
display of the MYFC, the offset value is corrected.
2. The moisture of the stored wheat is determined and if there are deviations, the
moisture nominal value is adjusted.
7.3.1
Adjusting the offset value
This adjustment must be made at the commissioning. The moisture of the dry
wheat is measured and compared with the actual moisture value of the sample
taken. If there are differences, the offset value is corrected accordingly.
REC.OFFS = Lab value – MOIST at the sample-taking
The adjustment of the offset value corrects only the errors at the moisture
measurement. Water losses which occur after dampening must be corrected with
the moisture nominal value.
7.3.2
Adjusting the moisture nominal value
This value determines which value is used for dampening by the dampener.
Losses through transport etc. must be adjusted by changing the nominal value.
The setting can be made in the main menu parameter MOIST, or when recipes are
used, in the menu REC.MOIS.

Recipe 0
Recipe 0 has a special significance. This recipe is called an operating recipe
because it is always active. Changes made in the main menu are always integrated
into Recipe 0. When the nominal moisture is adjusted in the main menu, the value
REC.MOIS[0] is changed accordingly.
Recipe 0 is thus used in two cases:
1. The user is working without recipe settings
2. The user would like to change the settings only temporarily and not store these
changes.
Recipe 1…20
These recipes are needed to optimize the moisture measurement. When very
different products should be dampened, e.g. hard and soft wheat, the accuracy can
be improved with the recipe settings. Note that the MYFC works very accurately to
a point of ±2 % moisture with the same product; therefore no recipes are required.
In addition, the safety of the dampening can be improved because an alarm is
triggered with the limit value DMAX as soon as the required water volume becomes
too large. This can have various causes:
• There was no first dampening
• The product rate is too high
• The nominal value was set too high
• The MYFC is measuring incorrectly
Recipe administration if the MYFC is connected to a control system
If the device is connected to a control system, the administration of the recipe data
should take place at the level of the control system. In this case the recipes are
only displayed and cannot be changed! It is only possible to change the recipes
when the parameter SYS.REM is set on LOC or REMA.

The automatic Flowbalancer is used to meter a pre-selected volume of free-flowing
product from a full product stream. The product is supplied at the inlet (1).
A pneumatically operated slide gate (2) meters the product flow which, after a short
drop, strikes an inclined plate (3) and is thus deflected from the original direction of
flow. The resulting deflection force is proportional to the weight-related flow
volume. This force is measured by a force transducer (4). The MEAF electronic
control unit (5) monitors and controls the balance with the help of the control valves
(6) via the diaphragm drive (7), by opening and closing the slide gate (2). This will
result in a constant flow capacity.

This setting determines the operational mode of the control. For standard
operation the MYFC setting is always used. The %-DOS setting is only
selected when the device is involved in a dampening process in which no
MYFC is present but the product rate can be obtained from Bühler dosing
elements.
L-DOS is used when a constant volume of water dosage is desired. This
volume can be set locally or pre-set via an interface.

10.1 Alarm messages
The MYFC and MOZF have alarm and warning messages. Alarms are triggered in
serious situations. The 24 V alarm output is set. Warnings are given when the
basic functions of the device are not influenced, e.g. interruption of the connection
to the remote control.
The error is displayed on both the MYFC and the MOZF. The errors can be
acknowledged with the alarm acknowledgement key. The errors can also be
acknowledged at the MYFC or at the MOZF.
Example 1:
The MYFC reports the error 26 TOL. The error also appears on the MOZF display
with the message that the MYFC has detected an error.

10.2 Locking the product probe MOZL (ERR63 FLOWD)
This error message checks the product flow in the system and guarantees that the
product probe also functions dynamically. This increases safety dramatically
because the product probe is tested at each start and stop. The parameter
TCON.T2 is to be set for this monitoring. The setting must be made according to
the cleaning conditions. The time setting is dependent on the flow time the product
needs from the MYFC to the dampener. If no product probe is used, the parameter
TCON.T2 is to be set on 0. This deactivates the monitoring.
In addition, the product flow from the silo cell to the MYFC can be monitored with
the release signal. When the dosing release is on, the MYFC expects product to be
detected at the MYFC within the TCON.T1 time. If this is not the case, a
malfunction may be present in the transport or in the dosing element of the silo cell.
If the release signal is not used or this monitoring should not take place, then
TCON.T1 must be set on 0. This deactivates the monitoring.

If T1 or T2 are exceeded then ERR 63 is triggered and the water dosing is
stopped. The water is not stopped if the probe does not signal any product for
< 3 seconds.
It is also possible to fill in a dry state. In this case the release signal must be set on
0 V, or the moisture nominal value must be 0 %.
10.3 External 24 V alarm acknowledgement
It is possible to acknowledge alarms automatically. The signals are present on the
base PCB of the MOZF. No parameters have to be changed.
There are two versions available:
1. Clear alarm (pulse) DI7
The current alarm is cleared as soon as a positive side of 0 V to 24 V has
occurred on this input.
2. Clear alarm (release) DI8
The current alarm is cleared as soon as the release DI1 is no longer active.
To activate this function, the input must be wired to 24 V.

11.1.1 Removing the measuring container
1. Empty the MYFC completely
2. Remove the inlet connection by undoing the upper screws (1)
3. Remove the inlet housing by undoing the six lateral screws (2)
4. Undo the knurled nut of the cable (3) on both sides of the shaft
5. Remove the three nuts (4) on both sides
6. Undo the two screws (5) on one side and remove support
7. Pull out the measuring container sideways

Removing the sensor tongue
1. Remove the measuring container (see 11.1.1)
2. Undo the slotted bolt (1) of the shaft on both sides
(e.g. with pitch gauge)
3. Undo the fillister screws (2) on one side and remove the adapter cone (3)
4. Carefully pull out the sensor tongue (4) with the disk (5)
5. Separate the disk from the tongue

Assembling the sensor tongue
1. First put sealing compound into the milled slot (6) of the disk (5) (the use of
Permabond Acryl 500 is compulsory). Scrape the sealing compound towards
the edge to stop water from entering after assembly.
2. Insert the sensor tongue carefully
(Caution: O-ring in disk; tongue must be vertical in the milled slot of the disk)
3. Put sealing compound into the milled slot of the second disk also
(the use of Permabond Acryl 500 is compulsory).
4. Insert the disk (5) over the tongue (4) until it stops at the measuring container
(the tongue must be in the milled slot of the disk)
5. Mount adapter cone (3)
6. On both sides carefully screw the bolt (1) in the shaft of the tongue.
7. Re-install the measuring container

1. Empty the MYFC completely

4. Undo two screws (3) on both sides and remove support
5. The measuring container can now be placed in the funnel (as an alternative the
measuring container can also be removed)
6. Undo four lower screws (4) and pull out the force transducer
7. Remove the holder and distance holder from the transducer

1. Remove the locking ring (1) on the outer part of the bar

3. Remove the force transducer by undoing the two screws (3).
During assembly in reverse order note the following:

bore hole (4) in the housing and can be turned easily in the force transducer.
Reseal the entry to the insulating tube with new shrinkable tubing or

11.1.5 Diaphragm drive
To dismantle, remove the pin from the fork head.
The complete diaphragm drive is fastened to the feeder unit with four bolts
from the outside.
Initially only loosen these four bolts with the head on the outside.
• The diaphragm drive is held together by four bolts (8) with the heads
countersunk on the inside.
The shaft and nut of these bolts protrude on the outside.
If these four bolts (8) are loosened equally, all parts of the drive will become
detached.

Observe the following points for reassembling:

Clip the diaphragm plate (4) neatly into the operating diaphragm (3).
Place the compression spring (5) in the guide at the top and bottom.
Observe the position of the spring support (1) in relation to the top membrane
cover (2).
Ensure absolutely tight assembly.

11.1.6 Inlet spout
1. Remove the pin from the fork head and open the metering slide gate (3)
completely.
2. In the case of the MZAH-25, also undo the countersunk screws (7) on both
sides.
3. The bottom four flange nuts (34) must be unscrewed during dismantling.
4. The four top flange nuts must remain in position in order to facilitate the
installation of the inlet spout (4) later.
5. The inlet spout (4) can be removed from one of the two door openings.
Observe when reassembling:
There must be a gap «S» of 0.5…1 mm between the metering slide gate (3)
and the inlet spout (4).
Check with a feeler gauge and by moving the slide gate. Corrections are
possible at the flange nuts (34).

11.1.7 Metering slide gate
1. Remove the pin from the fork head.
2. Loosen all six screws (three on each side), which are used to fasten the
complete metering slide gate (1) in the feeder unit.
3. Open the metering slide gate (1) fully and lift it vertically out of the guides.
4. The metering slide gate can be removed through the side openings.
5. All parts can now be dismantled from the outside towards the inside until the
metering slide gate (1) is freed as well.
Observe the following points for reassembling:

Reassemble in the reverse order.
Use sealed ball bearings (6) with permanent lubrication.
Check gap («S» = 0.5…1 mm) between the metering slide gate (1) and the
inlet spout.

11.1.9 Protective bellows

1. Undo fitting screw (12a) (tightening torque Ma = 8 Nm).
2. Draw down baffle plate (10) with protective bellows (7).
3. Undo screws (32) and remove protective bellows (7).
4. Mount spare bellows with due caution.
• Reassemble in reverse order.
• After replacing the protective bellows a weight alignment has to be carried out.

1. Disconnect cable from force transducer.
2. Undo fitting screw (12a) (tightening torque Ma = 8 Nm).

11.2 MOZF
11.2.1 Water filter
1. The water filter must be cleaned periodically depending on the water quality.
2. Close shut-off valve
3. Open the drain cock of the water filter and press the air-bleed button at the
water filter
4. Open the filter housing and clean or replace the filter cartridge
5. After re-assembly, air-bleed the water filter
11.2.2 Shut-off valve
The shut-off valve generally requires no maintenance. In case of contamination or
if there is a malfunction, the valve can be cleaned.

13.9 Sample taking
In order to check the MYFC only product before or directly after dampening should
be used. Samples from B1 or even flour samples are out of the question, because
they have been exposed to different environmental influences since dampening.
The samples must be filled into glass jars and closed airtight. Freshly dampened
product should frequently shaken for 15 min after extraction to stop the swelling
product from sticking together.
When taking samples the average current moisture, the current dosing rate and the
time of the sample taking have to be noted down. Thus it is possible to check the
operation of the automatic moisture control together with the laboratory results.
13.10 Moisture determination in the laboratory
Practice has shown that only the carefully applied standard method according to
ICC-Standard No. 110/1 provides reliable moisture values. We strongly advise
against quick determinations for dampened products.
Basic application of the standard method according to ICC-Standard N0. 110/1:

Material:
• Glass jars with airtight cover
• Metal or glass dishes
• Laboratory scale with a resolution of 1 mg
• Laboratory mill
• Drying cabinet (130 °C)
• Exsiccator
1. Taking a sample:
• Let wheat stand for min. 12 h in airtight closed glass jar.
• Shake the glass jar frequently for the first 5…10 min to stop the wheat from
sticking together.
2. Pre-drying (only if moisture > 15 %)
• Weigh 20…35 g whole kernels of wheat into dish.

• Pre-dry it in the oven for exactly 30 min at 130 °C.
• Cooling at room temperature.
