Step 1: Access the template I accessed the template provided in the instructions and selected "Use Template" to begin. Step 2: Add the points capacity to the Sprint Backlog tab I navigated to the Sprint Backlog tab and added the total number of Story Points our team expects to complete in the upcoming Sprint under the Current Sprint column. Our team's points capacity for a three-week Sprint is 60 Story Points, so I added "60" to the Current Sprint column. Step 3: Assign items from the Product Backlog to the Current Sprint Next, I went to the Product Backlog tab and sorted the items by value in descending order by selecting "Sort sheet Z -> A" under the Value column header dropdown. I then assigned items to the Current Sprint by selecting "Current Sprint" from the Sprint column dropdown for each item. I started with the highest value items and worked my way down the list until the total Story Points assigned matched our team's capacity of 60 points for the three-week Sprint. I prioritized the Plant Care Initiatives epic first, as requested by the Product Owner, and added items from the Bonsai Trees epic only if we had enough capacity leftover. After assigning items to the Current Sprint, I checked the number of Story Points assigned to ensure it matched our team's capacity of 60 points. Step 4: Check the points capacity in the Sprint Backlog tab (Google Sheets version) Since I was using Google Sheets, the Backlog items I assigned to the Current Sprint automatically populated in the Sprint Backlog tab. I checked the total number of Story Points from these items next to Points Assigned and made sure it matched our team's capacity of 60 points. I also checked the total value next to Value Attributed. Step 6: Assign remaining items to the next Sprint (Google Sheets and Excel versions) Any items that didn't fit into the Current Sprint were assigned to the Next Sprint by selecting "Next Sprint" from the Sprint column dropdown in the Product Backlog tab. Overall, our Sprint Backlog for the upcoming three-week Sprint includes 5 items from the Plant Care Initiatives epic and 1 item from the Bonsai Trees epic, totaling 60 Story Points. Our ultimate Sprint goal is to complete these items within the three-week Sprint and deliver value to the stakeholders.
