Institution Vision, Mission and Goals
Vision
USANT will be a distinguished leader in the provision of quality, yet
affordable education.
Mission
The mission of USANT is to contribute to individual and societal
development through outstanding academic programs, research and
community service.
Goals
1. Adapt administrative schemes that emphasizes corporate social
responsibility and to minimize financial burden on parents and
students.
2. Nurture a wholesome workplace that spawns excellent, performing and
committed professionals.
3. Achieve appropriate levels of accreditation of all programs to ensure
student’s competitiveness.
4. Demonstrate greater competence in academics, technical skills,
research, and entrepreneurship for holistic students’ development.
5. Enrich student’s campus experience and competitiveness through stateof-the-art facilities.
6. Generate new knowledge through institutional researches that attract
grants to researches.
7. Provide sustainable measures to alleviate community problems through
extension services.
8. Build strategic alliances with alumni and other stakeholders to help
USANT realize its vision and mission.
B. Department Vision, Mission and Goals
Vision
USANT Graduate School will be an ideal institution of learning for the
development of well-rounded professionals as advocates of academic
excellence, corporate social responsibility and cultural propagation.

To uphold its commitment in providing quality, relevant, and affordable
multi-disciplinary programs essential to the development of the country’s
manpower in the field of education, nursing, criminal justice and business
administration.
Goals
1. Develop competent, productive and culturally-oriented, and ethical
professionals, leaders and citizens of the country.
2. Cultivate relevant, innovative, and technology-based models for
instruction in the attainment of professional competence.
3. Ensure quality results through accreditation of all programs.
4. Broaden research base attuned to the needs of the country’s agenda for
development.
5. Expand sustainable community services on education, health, social and
environmental concerns that result to greater impact on future
generations.
6. Strengthen linkages with alumni, government agencies, nongovernment organizations and other stakeholders for sharing of
resources and skills.
C. Program Educational Objectives
The Masters Education Program envisions its graduates after three to five
years to have:
1. Subject experts in their chosen field of specialization such as
administration and supervision, guidance and counseling,
communication arts (English and Filipino), and Mathematics, Science,
MAPEH, History, TLE, SPED and Education.
2. Teachers or would be school administrators that demonstrate strong
leadership competence, communication skills and professional ethics.
3. Passers in government examinations, e.g. principal’s test and enrolled
in post graduate education.
4. Contributed to the development of contextualized teaching
materials/aids and innovative teaching practices.
5. Demonstrate active community engagement by participating in
community building activities.
6. Have demonstrated professional characteristics that motivate others;
civic, social and ethical responsibilities expected of teachers or school
administrators and leadership competence to meet organizational goals
and objectives.
D. Program Outcomes
Upon the completion of the course, the students will be able to:
1. Conduct applied research with competence along their field of
specialization especially in the formulation of researchable question
design, use of appropriate research methodology, analysis of data and
drawing reasonable conclusions and sound recommendations.
2. Critically evaluate current issues and trends along classroom
instruction, curriculum development and teaching pedagogy, and apply
knowledge, skills and expertise appropriately in the development of
curriculum and instructional strategies.

3. Demonstrate competence and comprehensive understanding of their
field of specialization specifically in Science, Mathematics, TLE, History,
Administration and Supervision, Inclusive Education and Filipino.

of diverse learners and adapt effectively to curricular reforms and
innovations.

Upon the completion of the course, the students will be able to:
1. understand and value the significance of the university vision, mission
and goals
2. explain personal concepts and understanding about income generating
project
3. explore IGP success stories in technology and livelihood education
4. understand the working definition of income and perspectives on
livelihood
5. discuss the elements of livelihood and the sustainable livelihoods’
approach
6. overview of the important innovation concepts and theories
7. design and create innovation and income generating project
8. distinguish the four key elements of innovation: collaboration, ideation,
implementation and value creation
9. discuss the legal basis of conducting innovation and IGP and DepEd
thrusts on innovation
10. identify potential income generating activities (IGAS): communitybased approach
11. analyze the resource mobilization process.
12. apply the sustainability plans for IGP
13. discuss the sustainable rural livelihood, practical concepts for 21st
century
14. critique the scholarly researches on income generating projects
F. Course Description
This course deals on the study of income generating projects in Technology
and Livelihood Education as a source of additional income of a department in a
designated school, district or division with emphasis on procedural instruments
in teaching TLE.
