• THE DRAPE SERVES TO PROTECT THE CLIENT FROM INFECTIOUS AND CONTAGIOUS DISEASE,
AND PROTECT THE CLIENTS CLOTHING COMFORT AND PROTECTION OF THE CLIENT MUST
ALWAYS BE CONSIDERED DURING COSMETOLOGY SERVICES

BEFORE DRAPING A CLIENT FOR ANY TYPE OF
SERVICE

PREPARE MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES FOR THE SERVICE

SANITIZE HANDS
•
ASK THE CLIENT TO REMOVE ALL NECK AND HAIR JEWELRY AND STORE IT AWAY
•
REMOVE OBJECTS FROM THE CLIENT’S HAIR
•
TURN THE CLIENT’S COLLAR TO THE INSIDE
•
PROCEED WITH THE APPROPRIATE DRAPING METHOD
DRAPING PROCEDURE
SEAT THE CLIENT COMFORTABLY.
TUCK IN THE COLLAR TO SURE THAT IT WILL NOT WRINKLE.
PLACE THE NECK STRIP OR TOWEL THE AROUND PATRON’S NECK.
ADJUST THE CAPE OVER THE NECK STRIP OR TOWEL.
FOLD NECK STRIP OR TOWEL AROUND PATRON’S NECK.
ADJUST THE CAPE OVER NECK THE STRIP OR TOWEL.
FOLD THE NECK STRIP OR TOWEL OVER THE CAPE.

prevent contact of the cape with the client's skin
