In behalf of the management of JGC, I would like to extend our utmost gratitude for the constant support and for allowing us to continue working alongside with you for the past 18/19 years , until now. We truly appreciate and we look forward for many more years to come. As for today’s safety talk, I would like to talk about Proper Planning and Advance Preparation. As the saying goes, Health and Safety indeed does not happen by accident. Planning is an essential part of safety, it needs to be plan, make necessary preparations, put them into action & developed. It’s the same as if we want to finish a project or provide a high quality service, or just within our individual goal for a better future for us or if we want to attain/accomplish something. We need a concrete plan, a set of goals for a smooth and organize execution. For Safety, through proper Planning and Advance preparation, we can take better control of hazards and risks in the workplace, thus protect every worker and the organization as well. On the other hand, Poor planning and efficiency usually create problems and affect our ability to work safely & productively. Yes, Planning does not guarantee success. Circumstances happen and of course , the basic reality that we never know what is going to happen, even if we think that we laid the best plan that we’ve got, but one thing is for sure, Planning does really help boost positive outcome through Proper implementation and execution and thus to move toward success. In our day-to-day activity here inside the plant, adjustments are necessary for circumstances that we don’t expect or anticipate during the actual planning and this is where last minute risk assessment and 10 seconds KY comes in. Changes happen from time to time and this is the part where should stop/pause for a while, to reassess the situation, and if necessary, revise the plan accordingly. To end, I want to leave you a quote from Benjamin Franklin “ “By Failing to plan, you are preparing to fail.”
