UPDATED VISITOR GUIDELINES
NATIONAL MUSEUM COMPLEX IN RIZAL PARK, MANILA
as of November 2, 2022
In line with Executive Order No. 7 signed on October 28, 2022, the National Museum Complex
in Manila shall adopt the following revised visitor guidelines as a positive step towards
normalization.
Walk-in visitors are welcome but advance online booking is still required for groups of 20
persons and above through reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph.
I.
VISITING HOURS
a. The National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and
National Museum of Natural History are open to the public from Tuesdays to
Sundays (except religious holidays) from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
b. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
II.
WHO MAY VISIT
a. Fully vaccinated adults and minors (proof of vaccination and photo ID is
required)
b. Unvaccinated minors should be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult
III.
PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT
a. Walk-in visitors are accepted. For groups of 20 persons and above, make an
advanced booking at https://reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph at least one
(1) day prior to the day of the planned visit. Same day bookings will not be
entertained.

c. Guided tours are available subject for approval and availability of Museum
Guides. Letter of request shall be sent to cmvod@nationalmuseum.gov.ph.
IV.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
a. BAGGAGE DEPOSIT. Baggage counters are available upon entry. Big bags,
umbrellas, and tumblers must be deposited at the counters.
b. PROHIBITED ITEMS. The following items are NOT permitted inside the
museum buildings:

Art materials (including ink pens) other than pencils
Bags and luggages larger than 33 x 43 cm (13 x 17 in)
Backpacks, baby backpack carriers, umbrellas or other bulky items
Food and drinks including tumblers
Plants, flowers or other organic materials
Tripods and video cameras
Wrapped packages including gifts
Pets
c. DRESS CODE. There is no dress code when visiting the museum but we
encourage you to dress appropriately keeping in mind the sensitivities other
visitors may have.
d. PHOTOGRAPHY. Taking of pictures is allowed inside the museum premises.
However, the use of camera flash and the recording of videos are strictly
prohibited.
e. DECORUM. Please keep your voices low while inside the galleries. Do not
touch the paintings, sculptures, and other objects in display. Avoid leaning on
glass showcases and pedestals. Running and playing in hallways and sitting
and lying on floors are not allowed.
The NMP reserves the right to refuse the entry or to dismiss individuals or groups who will
violate the abovementioned policies.
V.
HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS
a. Wearing of face masks is highly encouraged especially for the elderly,
individuals with comorbidities, immunocompromised individuals, unvaccinated
minors and symptomatic individuals.
b. Visitors are allowed to bring their own sanitizing kits (small bottles of alcohol,
small spray bottles, and tissue papers), but they must be mindful of their
surroundings when using them.
c. Frequent hand washing and sanitizing is encouraged. Hand sanitizers are
available throughout the premises while hand washing facilities are available
in all comfort rooms.
d. Social distancing of at least two (2) meters between persons not belonging to
the same household must be observed at all times.
By accepting admission, you assume all inherent risks and agree to release the National
Museum of the Philippines from any or all liability for any illness/diseases, as well as for loss,
injury, or damage to your person or property related to your visit.
