SCHEDULING – is the placing of the plan on a calendar timetable and showing the allocation of the equipment & manpower that will put the plain into effect. METHODS OF PLANNING 1. 2. BAR CHART METHOD CRITICAL PATH METHOD BAR CHART – shows the time necessary for each function but does not show how they are related to one another. (Traditional bar charts show both functions simultaneously w/ the result that the answer is too often incomplete). CRITICAL PATH METHOD (CPM) – basically is technique that separates planning & scheduling. it also clarifies the inter-relationship between time & cost.
