CHAPTER 2
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THANKSGIVING DAY
“Thanksgiving day”
2.1. Find out about Thanksgiving Day
Every year in late November, the United States celebrates Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving was organized by the first immigrants to the United States about
400 years ago. These immigrants are Protestants, who decide each year to set
aside one day to give thanks to God for God's generosity to shelter them in the
midst of the difficulties of life and to give them the opportunity to worship
freely. The good tradition over time has been recognized by the United States
and has become a major national holiday in the United States.
2.2. History Background
By the middle of the 15th century, Europe was living in its heyday. In
wealthy prosperity, the discovery of silver mines in Tyrol and elsewhere in
Europe has made the amount of money circulating in Europe more and more.
The abundance of money made the aristocracy and the middle class in Europe
even more luxurious. Europeans like goods, goods, delicious things from India,
the Far East and especially from distant China.
3
At the time, although the Silk Road between Europe and China was
connected, the Gobi desert and the high rugged mountains of Central Asia made
trade unions unable to supply enough goods, Especially fabrics, silk, perfumes,
for the people of Europe. Thus, the Italian, Portuguese, Spanish merchants
sailed to sea; European navigators hope to find a way to India and China easier
than sea.
In 1487, Bartholomew Diaz circumnavigated Cape of Good Hope in
South Africa to India, then from India back to Europe. However, this stormy
route does not bring more prospects for business. The sea wave around the Cape
of Good Hope has made many merchants out of business. A few years later, an
Italian captain named Christopher Columbus, a native of Genoa, served the
Spanish court, persuading Queen Isabella to finance his journey to Asia to the
west. On August 3, 1492, Columbus plowed in Palos. Two months later, on
October 12, 1492, he set foot on the Watling Islands in the Caribbean.
Columbus claimed to have reached the islands off the coast of China. A few
days later, he landed in Cuba, thinking that he had arrived in Mainland China,
and sent him to Genghis Khan.
After four transatlantic flights, Columbus died and he still believed that
he had come to Asia. The first Aboriginal people he encountered had dark skin
known as Indians because Columbus and his fellow travelers thought it was
Indians. In 1497, John Cabot, an English explorer arrived in North America.
This vast land of rich people almost no human shadow. Here are some of the
indigenous Indian tribes that camp, wild bulls grazing everywhere. John
Cabot's expedition was an important event for Britain in later years to announce
that North America was a British colony.
The second important historical event involves the first immigrants to
the New World occurring 25 years after Columbus found America. On October
4
31, 1517 a German priest named Martin Luther posted 95 Commentary on the
door of the Wittenberg church asking Catholic Church leaders to correct church
errors. Not many at the time thought that Martin Luther's theories were the
beginning of the Reformation movement and led to the founding of the
Protestant Church. However, the Reformation movement after its beginnings
in Germany and Switzerland has spread to many European countries.
In the 16th century, many of the power struggles took place in Europe.
European leaders at the time viewed religion as a means of gaining political
influence, thus leading to local or national leaders expressing their support for
Protestant or Catholicism.
A remarkable event occurred in 1534 in England, after political strife,
and at the same time an indignant disregard for the Pope's disapproval of his
marriage to Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII of England. The idea of separating
the Church of England from Catholicism and establishing Anglicanism. King
Henry VIII claimed that Anglicanism was not subject to papal control and that
the king himself declared himself the supreme leader of the Church of England.
2.3. First Migrants in the United States
History shows that the motives for Henry VIII's establishment of
England were for the sake of the king and the British, not for his support of the
Reformation. In essence, the rite of worship and the theological view of the
Anglican Church at the time still carry the characteristics of the Catholic
Church.
Some Protestant Christians in the United Kingdom want to be worshiped
puritans based on the Bible. These believers do not fully agree with the rite,
doctrine and organization of England. Because of the view of that pure belief,
these people were called the Puritans. The Puritan community believes that
5
Christians are God-chosen people. The church was founded by those who were
saved and should be guided by God Himself.
Although they disagree with the Anglican views, most Puritan members
still live in England. This group of believers hopes to call for and will gradually
reform the existences of the rite of worship and the doctrine of Anglicanism.
The followers of this tendency are called non-separating Puritans. However,
among the Puritans, there was a group of people who did not hope to reform
the British Church, who decided to break up. In 1606, these people split up to
form a church at Scrooby, and were called the Puritan Puritans (Separatists
Puritan). This breakaway decision made the British government and British
leaders angry. Puritan's group of
LyKhai was persecuted by the British
government. In the face of her husband's difficulties, in 1609, a number of
Puritan devotees left Britain for a free, Protestant country to enjoy the freedom
of worship.
Ten years later, once again the Puritans laid claim to the road. At that
time, the Netherlands was at war with Spain. Visions must be under the rule of
the Spaniards, causing confusion among the Puritans. This time they decided
to travel far west, to a land called the New World.
Since I was living in the Netherlands, the faithful Puritan Ly Khai said
on 1607 has 120 Britons have crossed the Atlantic to establish a community of
residents in Jamestown, lands in the state of Virginia the United States today.
Confuciusists claim that the land in North America is large. Though North
America is a British colony, but where it really does not have the right to rule,
so nobody arrests them in matters of faith, so they are free to live and worship
God according to the will in new land. Immigrants arrived in the United States
because of religious reasons, so historians have referred to them as the pilgrims
(Pilgrim).
6
In September 1620, the Mayflower consisted of 121 people leaving
Europe, inside 102 of them were passengers and the rest were crew. After two
months of crossing the sea, on 9 November 1620, the Mayflower landed at My
Chau. As soon as they arrived in the new land, the Confucian faithful of Ly
Khai were also kneeling on the shore of prayer. They read Psalm 100 to thank
God. After many years of hardship to keep their faith, they now have come to
the land of peace, they are free to worship God. Remembering their hometown,
they named the new land New England and New Plymouth, a town in the
United Kingdom.
Subsequently, the migrants embarked on the construction of a shelter
through the winter. Snow falls on the ground and mountains. The foggy, misty
sky, the Mayflower crew decided to stay with them. Winter in North America
is harsh, lasting from late December to the end of March next year. After that
first cold winter, many immigrants have fallen. Of the 102 people who came
here, only 55 survived. However, when spring comes, trust in the Lord, these
55 living still decide to stay in the New World. They sent the Mayflower crew
back to Europe. The Mayflower sailed without a passenger on board. These
religious refugees decided to stay, to accept confrontation with the arduous life
of being free to worship God and to build new life.
2.4. Thanksgiving
“Thanksgiving is an annual holiday held mainly in the United States and
Canada. There is a sense at the beginning is to celebrate the harvest and thank
God for the full and peaceful life. This is also the official holiday, for all
statutory workers in the United States and Canada.”
Amidst these difficulties, God cares for them. He sent people to help
them. Tisquantum is a Welsh tribe of the Wampanoag tribe, having followed
the adventurers to England, so they speak English. Tisquantum has come to
7
help immigrants, guide them in hunting, fishing, growing corn and growing
vegetables. Migrants call Tisquantum Squanto. Squanto was an interpreter and
negotiator with Indian leaders for settlers. After that, they signed a treaty
between the Puritans and the Indian Wampanoag tribe. This agreement has
been respected 50 years. In the autumn, the first harvesters are prosperous. They
have enough food for winter and enough to live up to next crop. Glad to hear
that God has prayed for good weather, good harvests, healthy people, Governor
William Bradford decided to announce one day to thank God. Immigrants also
want to use this opportunity to thank local Indians for helping them in their new
arrival.
In the autumn of 1621, the first Thanksgiving was celebrated. After the
hour of prayer, singing the Psalms of thanksgiving, a three-day banquet was
held. According to Edward Winslow's diary, one of the migrants reported: the
diner included a total of 90 American Indians, including Massasoyt and 50
immigrants. The party consists of four British women and two girls. On the
table outside the cakes made of corn, sweet potatoes, beans, there are heavenly
ducks, geese and four turkey heavenly gold. Two groups of white and red
Indians shared joy. The Indians responded to the hospitality of the five deer
hunters who presented Bradford Governor and immigrants.
Although the first Thanksgiving was held in November 1621, however,
based on the Puritan tradition, historians claim that the first true Thanksgiving
Day, probably on June 30, 1623. Two years later. According to historians,
according to Edward Winslow's account, Thanksgiving Day in November 1621
was just a festive day. Because if it is true of the Puritan tradition, the
Thanksgiving Mass is a celebration that often spends a lot of time fasting,
praying, and having no feast of feasts.
8
According to historians, after the first crop results, the harvest of second
year harvest falls. After the third winter, when the spring comes, the migrants
begin to prune, but the drought lasts from May, June and coming to July. In the
face of that situation, immigrants plan to spend all of July in fasting and prayer.
Without waiting until July, all agree and begin to pray to the Lord.
On the afternoon of June 30, 1623, black clouds appeared and rain fell.
The people were grateful to God and they were even happier when Miles
Standish reportedly saw the sign of the ship Anne carrying the cleansing
Confederate sisters left in Leiden, the Netherlands. In the face of that joy,
Governor Bradford announced one day to give thanks to God. And according
to historians, this is the very first Thanksgiving Day - June 30, 1623.
Although the first Thanksgiving was held in 1621 or 1623, these
immigrants decided each year to spend a day to thank God. These believers
decided to do so because they wanted to obey God's commandment to the
ancient Jews when they were about to enter the Promised Land. The Lord
taught that if they were faithful believers, worship the Lord, the Lord would
bless them and make their seed abundantly. On the contrary, if they deny Him,
their future in the new land will become tragic. Faith and God-fearing of the
Founding Fathers were the blessing of the nascent republic founded more than
150 years later.
2.5. Where was the First Thanksgiving?
9
“The First Thanksgiving at Plymouth of Jennie A. Brownscombe in 1914”
Although the first Thanksgiving story took place in Plymount, New
England in 1621, it has been recorded in many U.S. history books, but many
other places still proclaim their home country as the first place to celebrate
Thanksgiving. Temple. One of them is Boston. When the Puritan Puritan group
left England, the Puritan puritan group stayed with the hope of reforming the
Church of England. In 1625, these men were persecuted by Charles I and
therefore had to leave the country. This group of people is more crowded, richer
and organized than the Liberation League. The composition includes
congressmen, ministers and university graduates. However, like the
Confucianists, they are just refugees in the new land.
In 1630, the Puritans arrived in Charlestown. They later founded Boston
in Massachusetts. These people claim to be the new Israelites chosen by the
Lord and brought to the New World. They decided to build a community based
on biblical basis. While in England, the Puritans did not want the government
to intervene in the church, but in the New World, they had a good influence on
the government in the church.

CHAPTER 3
THE MEANING OF THANKSGIVING
3.1. Thanksgiving is a holiday in US history
“Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States, usually held on
the fourth Thursday in November. Thanksgiving originated in 16th-century
England during the reign of Henry VIII. In 1536, there were 95 public holidays
in the Catholic calendar, plus 52 Sundays. The lavish festivities organized by
the church together with the weakness of the economy made King Henry 8
determined to carry out the reform of Catholic holidays. After 1536, the number
of Catholic holidays reduced to 27 days”. However, the missionaries also
wanted to completely eliminate Catholic holidays, even giving up Easter and
Christmas, instead being Days of Fasting and Thanksgiving. (Days of
Thanksgiving). The hunger strike celebrates the calamities of last year such as
disease, crop failure, war, and thanksgiving to commemorate God's power and
tolerance.
Thanksgiving was formed in the seventeenth century, so it became a
media of the United States in particular as well as religious countries. Long
time ago, say Thanksgiving is an important holiday for the United States. This
is an important holiday and a tradition of the American people, enabling them
to give thanks to God for giving them sufficient and peaceful life.
3.2. Meaning of Thanksgiving Day
Expressing gratitude is a virtuous act of human culture. "Thank You" is
a must have statement from polite people. Since ancient times, mankind has
celebrated sacrifices and sacrifices to show gratitude for what God has
bestowed on mankind. This custom exists across the globe and every tribe
celebrates at least once a year with hearty feasts to celebrate the harvest well.
11
Thanksgiving - is an annual holiday in the United States and Canada.
Today, in the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on Thursday in the
fourth week of November so this date may not be the last Thursday of
November as many people mistaken (eg years 2012 is up to 5 days on
Thursday).
Thanksgiving is usually held with an evening party with family and
friends. In Canada and the United States, it is an important day for families to
reunite with one another, and people often go away to their families. People
usually get a four-day weekend holiday for this holiday in the United States:
they are off work or study on Thursday and Friday of the week. Thanksgiving
is usually held at home, unlike Independence Day or Christmas Day, holidays
that have many public organizations (like burning fireworks or going out for a
walk).
Since the late 1930s, the Christmas shopping season in the United States
officially began when Thanksgiving ended. In New York City, Macy's
Thanksgiving parade is held annually on this day in Manhattan. The parades
usually have multiple stands with multiple themes, large bubbles of TV
characters, and bands from high schools. This parade always ended with a Santa
Claus. There are other parades in other cities.
In the United States, people often remember a meal organized in 1621
between the Wampanoag Indians and Pilgrim migrants in Massachusetts. Much
of the story is a legend set in the 1890s and early twentieth-century to create a
manifestation of national unity after the American Civil War as well as to
assimilate immigrants.
It can be seen that Thanksgiving is important to the American people. For
many Americans, Thanksgiving is an important symbolic symbol associated
12
with the founding myth. Mayflower pilgrims in 1620 were the first to set foot
in the New World, survive and build the first Massachusetts colony.
Previous attempts to emigrate to the United Kingdom failed. This
holiday reminds Americans of the injustice they suffered the following years.
Anyway, this is also a chance for the people of this country to reunite,
gather around the family, enjoy a warm meal together and send each other thank
you. Therefore, Thanksgiving is also considered a family holiday.
3.3.South American people's thoughts on Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is an important holiday for the American people. It was a
holiday that meant a lot to them. Not just for the people of North America but
for the people of South America.
Every country, every region has a different way of celebrating
Thanksgiving. South American people, like other regions, also celebrated
Thanksgiving as expressing gratitude for their origins, demonstrating their
gratitude, to make the gods less angry. Thanksgiving Day is the first day of the
American holiday series. For South Americans as well as all Americans,
Thanksgiving is an important holiday for you
13
CHAPTER 4
THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES
4.1.How was Thanksgiving organized?
Thanksgiving Day is one of the largest traditional holidays of the United
States held on the last Thursday of November and lasts until 2 weeks later.
Thanksgiving is an opportunity for Family members and friends meet, share
the joy. In the US, this is an important family holiday and people can go from
east to west to meet family members. Thanksgiving holiday often falls on the
"4 days" weekend. This occasion is mostly held at the family level, unlike July
4th or the Christmas holidays, held with the public at large.
The feast dates back to 1621 when the banquet was held at the Plymouth
Plantation. This is where the first British settlers came to America. They invited
the Wampanoag to the ceremony to celebrate a bumper harvest. The party lasts
for 3 days with: goose, cod, lobster, deer etc. According to the letters of the
early settlers to the United States, the meal was beef and chicken. Later, this
meal was known as the first Thanksgiving. Although researchers have yet to
determine which of the chickens they use during the meal, the letter of the
person named Edward Winslow mentioned the 1621 dinner with a turkey predinner hunt.
In the past, Americans had a habit of getting up early this day to order a
grilled western chicken dinner with bean curd, pumpkin ... and buy football
tickets. Main Food: Turkey is the main dish for their feast with family and
friends.
But now the habits have changed, they enlist their time to rest and shop.
Therefore, this is considered "family holiday", when people have time gather,
reunited together. Those who travel far away also take advantage of home
visits. Thanksgiving is therefore considered one of the biggest shopping
14
occasions of the year in the United States. The shopping season officially
begins when Thanksgiving ends and lasts until Christmas. The sixth day after
Thanksgiving is the largest shopping day of the year, to the point that retailers
call this the "Black Friday". On this day, they have to open the door since the
sun has not been set and serve until midnight. This is also the opportunity for
businesses to take advantage of the promotion offer attractive promotions.
Electronic items such as cell phones, music players, laptops or home
appliances, microwave ovens and fashion clothing are the most popular.
4.2.Main dish
“Turkey is a traditional food of Thanksgiving”
On the table to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday always has turkey
dishes is attractive. What is the reason turkey is a traditional dish indispensable
for this occasion?
Turkey is a familiar dish that appears on every family's Thanksgiving
table, mainly in the United States and Canada. To date, the origins of turkey
have remained a subject of much debate. Behind this special dish are exciting
stories. In Canada and the United States, Thanksgiving is an opportunity for
every family member to have the opportunity to spend time together. People
15
usually take a 4-day weekend for this holiday in America. If the British see
Thanksgiving as an opportunity to prepare for the coming Christmas season,
Americans value this day as much as Christmas.
Western chicken is a traditional American Easter meal. Meal usually
large - is calculated for 5-10 people including family and close friends.
Other food:
In addition, pumpkin is also an important food in the meal because it is
said to have saved the lives of pilgrims through the cold winter. Along with
turkey, pumpkin, tourists while traveling the US this season can also enjoy
some other traditional dishes also appear on the table such as lemon sauce,
meat, potatoes, sweet potatoes. Along with desserts like pumpkin pie, pumpkin
pie ect.
Pumpkin, also known as pumpkin pie, is a traditional Thanksgiving
dinner in the United States and Canada. The pumpkin pie is very simple, the
inner core is mostly pumpkin, has a fat taste of milk, and a lot of spices are
mixed together and called Pumpkin pie spice. Often Pumpkin Pie spices are
cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and spice allspice. All are crushed in the form of
powder.
Next to roast turkey, baked cowpea is also one of the traditional dishes
on Thanksgiving Day. According to one survey, 78% of Americans think that
baked cowpea is delicious.
In modern society, people are extremely busy with their own work, so
fast food and frozen foods become more and more popular. However, most
people are unaware that the origins of "frozen meals" are related to
Thanksgiving.
In 1953, employees of Swanson Foods purchased 27 tonnes of chickens
to celebrate Thanksgiving. Since the chickens were too large, they could not
16
eat them all, and to deal with the consequences of the bluff, the company's staff
figured out how to break up the chilled and added chickens. Spicy with
vegetables, then wrapped and sold. That was the first "frozen meal" to be sold
in the US market, where people later "frenzy" for the convenience of these
"frozen meals".
3.3. Thanksgiving Tradition
• Family gathering
In the United States, Thanksgiving is an opportunity for everyone in the
family to meet again. On this occasion, the children often visit their parents,
even thousands of miles away. Many university are preparing buses from
Tuesday or Wednesday to get students from far off the airport. Amtrak station,
bus station, greyhound, airport full of people. For aviation, Thanksgiving is
usually the busiest of the year. For parents, to the day of Thanksgiving, which
children do not return not to send greeting cards, it is a big sadness.
• Worship at the Church
In New England, the place where Thanksgiving was first celebrated,
thanks to sunshine or snow, thanks to Thanksgiving, everyone came to church.
Absence at the Lord's home on Thanksgiving Day is unacceptable.
On that day, the courtyard was full of people. Many new faces appear.
The boys leave the village now have a hand holding a child. Your uncles,
uncles, aunts and uncles have the opportunity to meet each other happily to
spread around. Spouses and children turn into the church together to sit together
a bench. All excited when the pastor came in and the congregation started
singing the first hymn. Usually, the pastor reads the Governor's message of
thanksgiving to God. The pastor will represent the church in prayer, and the
prayer will be very long. All the congregation get upright before God. The
17
pastor will pray to repeat his thanksgiving for the blessings God has bestowed
on the church over the past year.
After the Church sits down and sings praises for the third hymn, they will
listen to the message of Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving lecture is one of the
most important lectures of the year. In New England on this occasion the
pastors often lecture very long, about two hours. Then the congregation sang
and sang the praises of the Lord. After a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord in
person among the congregation, the pastor prayed.
•Dinner
On Thanksgiving every Thursday evening, every American family
usually hosts a hearty meal. Leaving the church, the whole family went home
for dinner together. In preparation for this meal, the housewives of the past have
been working hard for the past week. On the table there was always corn, potato
flour, pies, vegetables, salted pork, and, of course turkey turkey to remind the
four turkeys who were present at the first Thanksgiving. In the United States.
During the meal there are sometimes geese or roasted ducks. Drinks are usually
apple juice and juices.
Start the meal, everyone respectfully bowed, the father in the family to
give God thanksgiving prayer. Later, the mother gently cut the turkey
distributed to the whole family, especially for the new grandchildren from afar,
the forks are full of food. The whole family enjoyed the meal together.
After the meal, the whole family gathers together, sitting on the sofa or
under the carpet. Old albums are pulled out, people watch and repeat old stories.
Young children can play the piano, read poetry or read the poem. Older people
can go on vacation. Everyone drinks tea, coffee and shady conversation until
late.
18
• Helping the Poor
In the joy of peace and prosperity, Thanksgiving is always an opportunity
to help the poor. Recalling the 47 dead in the first winter, the children of God
used this occasion to help the poor. Many churches often organize hot meals to
help the homeless in the city. Sometimes months ago, the church had put boxes
of donations, food bins, warm clothes to help the poor. Donations can be made
to poor people in the city, sometimes packaged carefully to poorer countries.
• Reception of Travelers & Migrants
When the Israelites entered the Promised Land, the Lord commanded
them to treat the foreigners, the orphans and the widows well. The first
immigrants were rescued by the Indians, so one of the traditions of
Thanksgiving was to help the newcomers.
Every year, the United States welcomes millions of people worldwide to
immigrate. This number of immigrants is more than the allowable number of
all countries in the world combined. If the immigrants are refugees, these
people are assisted for a while. These laws are based on the Word of God in the
Bible and by the motivation of the citizens who are the children of God.
4.4. Activities Thanksgiving
Sports activities:
American football is often an important part of Thanksgiving Day in the
United States. Professional teams often compete in this day so audiences can
watch on television. In addition, many high school or college football teams
also compete at the weekend, often with longtime rivals.
Rugby matches were organized by the American Football Association in
1876, and since then Americans have maintained a habit of watching rugby
matches on Thanksgiving Day.
19
“American football is often an important part of Thanksgiving Day”
Travel with family:
During holidays is a common activity in both places. In the United States,
this 4-day holiday is considered one of the busiest holidays of the year.
Canadians also make use of their three short holidays to travel and escape work
- daily life.
Shopping:
Thanksgiving is also the time to start the year's busiest shopping season of
the American people with the beginning of "Black Friday." But the hottest
activity in Thanksgiving is shopping in the US, Black Friday (after
Thanksgiving) with a series of discounts and attractive promotions, attracting
tourists in and abroad. The US market will definitely become a fiercest
battlefield for retailers. Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the
three biggest shopping times of Thanksgiving.
The parades:
20
There are many activities organized such as the organization of special
themed parades taking place in a number of cities such as New York, Plymouth,
Houston, Philadelphia and Detroit. The most prominent is Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Macy's parade is celebrated every
year at the famous Times Square in New York City on Thanksgiving Day,
starting in 1927. The parade takes place in about 3 hours, starting at 9 o'clock.
Thanksgiving morning and broadcast on national television channels, attracting
some 50 million viewers. It is estimated that no less than 3 million visitors
gather in Times Square and surrounding areas to witness the largest parade on
Thanksgiving Day.
“Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade”
Turkey turkey ritual at the White House:
Experts estimate that by the time of Thanksgiving 2015 alone, the United
States consumes more than 46 million chicken. The huge number of people
shuddering, many organizations have stood up to call for the release of innocent
chickens on this day.
21
This is also the reason for the turkey offense born. President Harry S. Truman
is said to be the "father" of this ritual when he decides not to eat the western
chicken offered. National Turkey League.
“President Obama gives life to the Western cock in the white house”
In 1989, Sickness for turkey officially became the White House ritual
under President George W. Bush. Bush On this year's Thanksgiving Day,
Barack Obama has also performed the last turkey ritual for the presidency of
the United States.
After ending the long televised speech, the US president gave life to the
18-kilogram turkey, leaving it out of the American table for Thanksgiving
dinner.
CHAPTER 5
THANKSGIVING DEEPLY INFLUENCES THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN
THIS LAND ANH WILL CONTINUE IN THE FUTURE
Thanksgiving in the notion of The United State people has a profound and
great meaning, not merely a prayer and a gratitude to the supernatural beings
who gave them abundant crops, Also give each other the words of thanks, share
the good feelings. Thanksgiving is an opportunity for families and friends to
22
share in the joy of the evening, towards a bright future. Given that divine
meaning, today Thanksgiving is not just a special day for Americans or
Canadians, but has become a great feast for all the people of the world.

CHAPTER 6
CONCLUSION
6.1. Limit
To study this particular British culture, from my understanding and
experience, I must collect, read and summarize information from a variety of
documents and materials. Then read the reviews, comments, recommendations
from people who are experienced in the internet is very important that assist
me in my inexperienced experience.
After a month of picking up the subject and writing this thesis, I found
myself more confident in telling people about afternoon tea - a strong feature
of American culture.
Thanksgiving is an interesting topic to write about. However, this is not an
easy research topic as writers need to gather all the information from history to
the present, from online to reality to have the same overview as well. Details.
In order to prepare for this thesis, a good English reading skill is required and
appropriate time needs to be set to ensure the best view of the specific aspects
of American culture. Moreover, the valuable advice from the supervisor of the
thesis is especially important to keep the author in the right place in doing the
thesis in English.
The dissertation deals with some rather new issues from a practical point of
view, relatively straightforward field of study, and relatively limited research
time. Therefore, the thesis can not avoid the errors and limitations. The author
has received comments from experts related to this topic and from teachers,
friends and readers to complete in both theory and practice, contributing to the
work of expanding knowledge. About thanksgiving
24
6.2. Recommendations
The dissertation provides an overview of readers on the history of
Thanksgiving and what it means to the American people. To broaden the scope
of this research, I will encourage other researchers to learn more about how
Thanksgiving was formed and developed in other countries. The next thesis
will answer familiar questions such as: "How did the Thanksgiving ceremony
of other countries such as the UK, India, China ... form?" " , Canada and other
countries around the world? "For a more general look at Thanksgiving.
In short, the thesis worked on a very interesting topic that opened up
many other ways for researchers to work. For this development, I would be glad
if this thesis could be a good help.
