More and more people are migrating to cities in search of a better life, but city life can be extremely difficult. Explain some of the difficulties of living in a city. How can governments make urban life better for everyone? In today’s society, there is an increasing number of people move to live in urban area in order to look for a better life. In fact, city life may lead to get more obstacles than in country side. From my perspective, I belive that there are several reasons that city life bring difficulties to people, and governments can give some solutions make urban life better for everyone. Life in city has its drawbacks. Firstly, the cost of living is higher than rural area. Housing, accommodation expenses are really expensive. Therefore, homelessness and poverty are common. There is a gap between the rich and the poor. Moreover, urban areas have many issues about higher crime and more poverty rates compare to rural areas. Furthermore, some people do not manage to find work because of these competitive chances. Cities life lack a sense of community. Thus because neighbours do not even know about each others. As a result, living in city can be extremely stressful. However, there are several solutions that government can make urban life better for inhabitants. The first step is that they could invest money in building, such as social housing to reduce the cost of living. Therefore, city life will be easier for people because they do not pay for high prices for accommodation. Another step is that government should increase job opporturnities in the countryside such as farming, construction industry, traning local people… this can reduce the unemployment rate and limit the movement to big cities. All of this options should be performed in order to reduce the pressure in big cities. In conclusion, there are some aspects that living in city can be stressful. Yet, government can certainly tackle a range of measures to improve the quality of city’s residents.
