Using Elastic Search in eProcurement and Global Search
Step 1:Verify whether the Elastic search instance is Up and running.
Navigate to Main Menu->Peopletools->Search Framework->Administration->Search Instance
Populate the Elastic Search instance.
a)Ping the Node

The Result should be Success

b) Click on the Test Login.Login should be Success

c) Validate the Callback Properites.All Validations are Successful
Once the First Step is Complete with all the Test results successful, then your Elastic Search Instance is Up and running.
Step 2:-Setting up the system to display Requisition,PO’s,Receipt and Contracts in the Global Search results from Fluid as well as
Classic
Navigate to Main Menu->Peopletools->Search Framework->Administration->Deploy/Delete Object
Populate the Search Instance and Search Category, the search definiton will be dsiplayed in the results.

Take example of EP_PO_REQUISITIONS which is used for Requisitions.
The Deploy status should be Deployed and the Crawl Status should be successful.
In case , the Deploy status is undeployed , then Deploy the Search Definition using the Deploy button, if the Crawl status is not
Successful, then build the search index for the search definition.
For below Search definition,the Run Date/Time is blank which means the Index was not build for this search definition
Navigate to Main Menu->Peopletools->Search Framework->Administration->Schedule Search Index and Run the Full/Incremental
Index for the Search Definition

Once the process runs to Success, the last run Date/Time is populated.This means the index was build on that date.
Similarly EP_PROCUREMENT is the category which list all the Search definitions used in Procurment.
Verify the Deploy Status and Crawl Status.
Once it is Deployed and Successful, then we are ready to search Requisitions,PO’s Contracts,Receipts from the Global Search or the
Component Key word Search

Assign the Search Category to the Permission List and eventually assign that permission list to a role and the role to User.This will give
access to the Users to Search based on the Search Categories.
Below I have given access to ALLPAGES permission list for all Seach Categories.This can be set under the Search Goups tab for
Permission lists

Login with the User and you can see all the Search Categories available.
Step 4) Now we are ready to search Requisitions,PO’s, Receipts, Contracts using the Global Fluid Search as well as Classic
Search.Enter the Key word and click the >> icon

Similarly, you can search for PO’s,Receipts and Contracts
Step 5:-Enabling Elastic Search for Item Search When creating eProcurement Requisitions.
Navigate to eProcurement->Administer Procurement-> Maintain Overall System Options-> eProcurement Installation Options.
Select the Catalog Search Type as ‘Elastic Search’ and Save the Page.

Now Navigate to eProcurement->Administer Procurement-> Maintain Supplier Integration->Deploy/Delete Object.
Check for the Category EP_PV_MASTERITEMVENDOR_CAT which displays all the Search Definition related to Items.
Deploy and Build Indexes such that the Deploy status Deployed and Crawl Status is Successful

Now the system is ready to Search Items on the ePro-Requisition page.

Navigate to eProcurement->Requisition, Enter the keyword and search.Results are displayed.
