E-Portfolio-MYP 3 (Class 8) Academic Session 2022-23 Criterion A: Inquiring and analyzing Global context: globalization and sustainability SOI: talk show podcasting might introduce solutions for communities and their issues from the perspective of young people The topic of my podcast was child labor. I was able to identify this issue in the society around me, I saw children that were way too young working on streets or working under hazardous conditions to earn money. Some were forced and some had no other option than to work because of their living conditions. The target community for this podcast was for adults from 18 to 30+ years old because I think this is the age group of people that would actually take this issue seriously and be able to do something about it. B: Developing ideas The topic of my podcast was child labor and it aligns with the Global context because child labor is not only a huge issue in pakistan but all over the world. Child labor has an impact globally since children are being forced to work under conditions that can cause physical and mental harm as well as death, they are being cut off from basic education and health care which can result in restricting their fundamental rights and threatening their future and if we can not sustain this issue in the near future it will continue to get worse. This podcast is connecting with other people because in this podcast i have discussed child labor in pakistan and around the world.
