SPIRITUAL WAR FARE
It is so important to know that the spiritual world is for real and also note that ,
Once you confess Christ as your Lord and saviour, you automatically open a very big battle
between you and Satan. Because before we confess Christ, we are usually servants to the
devil , ruled by evil spirits enslaving us to Sin.. Ephesians 2:1-2 , when we accept Christ we
are saved from slavery and become children of God. Romans 8:15 , Thus Satan fights against
us in bid of drawing us back to himself, This fight is usually spiritualand all winners in this,
have to stand and fight in the spiritual realm 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
The devil fights through plotting evil plans against us, when we land into those
plots, automatically we land into his puzzles, that is why Paul the Apostle cautions us in
Ephesians 6:11 to always put on the spiritual armour to enable us to stand on an evil day,-,
the day when satan tempts us to fall back to his evil plots hence, spiritually triumphing over
us
How do we fight a spiritual battle?
We have a big challenge caused by so many rising doctrines which are grounded not on the
Bible truth in terms of spiritual war fare, this is the very reason why the devil is taking lead in
churches, using even minsters to fulfill his earthly duties because, the church has not taken
full measures of putting on the whole armour that bit him down., When fighting we only bark
at the devil, we luck weapons that put him down so that we dont fall into his daily traps, even
though, we posses the authority from our Lord Jesus Luke 10:19 and mark 16:17
So brethren , in the midst of our fight against our enemy -the devil, lets put on the
whole armour as follows ;
Girding our loins with the truth . If we would bare the truth and walk in it, we
shall not fall into the traps of the enemy set for those who walk in lies. If you don't have the
truth in you, Christ does not dwell in you , Because the amount of truth in you, depicts the
form of Christ reigning in you! The devil doesnot fear you there fore you can neither
overcome him by your barkings at him, nor your talkings about Jesus, But through Christ that
dwells in you. Another thing to note about this, we have to tie ourselves unto the truth,
because if you don't lie, some one else might cause you to lie, So you should not compromise
your selve any where, let the truth always stand..
Righteousness, Whenever we yarn for righteousness and bearing of all fruits as it
is in ,Galatians 5:22, we find our selves overcoming the plans of the enemy because, the
voice of the enemy comes usually through practicing evil, there fore righteousness is key
when fighting the enemy.
Shading our feet for a gospel of peace. Whenever we seek for God's peace and
also show it among others, by doing that, we are introducing Christ unto others, then He
accepts to fill us because he is the king of peace.Isiah 9:6 and if he fills us . the devil cannot
stand before us.
The shield of Faith: Faith helps us rebuke the arrows of the enemy, so it works as
a bullet proof vest. Remember these arrows or bullets are evil thoughts from the enemy
discouraging us in ministry and causing us to think that the Lord has forsaken us. But faith
helps us to resist all this so that, we don't loose our faith in the Lord.
The word of God. This is a very powerful weapon, it cuts the enemy, it is a
spiritual misle cast unto the enemy, Not mere barking at the enemy because the enemy does
not bow to plain human words rather to the word of God. It is so important to have a word of
God in you. This is why you has to make the Bible your friend, part and partial of you.so that
every prayer you make against the enemy shall be accompanied by the word of God.
All this if found in Ephesians 6:10-17, after we have put the whole of this, we
shall shout to the devil and he shall flee.
Note:
Our power in drawn from Christ dwelling in the inside of us., We donot have power to fight
plainly against satan , So if we want to overcome satan, weve got to yarn for growth to the
extent of our Lord Jesus,so that when we fight against the devil we wouldn't appear like,
mere humans but like children of the most High God. That is how we shall over come daily,
in the spiritual war fare..
