Created by Claudine Shalani a/p Kenel A proposal for Kahoot Subscription from Claudine Shalani E-champion rep from SBC Situation: In terms of the profile of our Gen Z students based on our experiences as lecturers we have observed that these students love to have technology incorporated into their learning in class. As mentioned in the citation below Gen Z is an electronically engaged generation. Hence the best way for lecturers to engage them in classes is by using education technology apps. According to (Tjiptono et al., 2020) In addition, according to (Omar et al.,2020) Created by Claudine Shalani a/p Kenel Based on a survey that I have done on the usage of Kahoot in classes for SBC students. These are their responses from the population of 100 students from Diploma programs and Certificate programs. From this pie chart data it can be seen that students find Kahoot as a fun way to test their knowledge. 95.8% of students that completed this survey mentioned that using Kahoot motivates them in class 94.4% of students also stated that Kahoot helps them retain their class topics better. Created by Claudine Shalani a/p Kenel Proposed Solution: Based on all the evidence given above I would like to propose to Inti IICS Management on the subscription of Kahoot for our campus. As many lecturers are using this education tool in our classes. The individual subscription for this app is quite expensive for us to subscribe. Below is the package details for the individual subscription This basic account monthly is RM 35.74 and for yearly is RM 411.47. Hence for an individual lecturer this is a big sum to pay for subscription. Benefits: ● By using Kahoot in class we are meeting the needs of our students who are the Gen Z’s ● We as an institution would be able to provide a positive learning experience for our students as we have seen the evidence of their responses. ● Kahoot is user friendly and easy to use hence lecturers can share a create a Kahoot community in campus which will contribute to providing quality education for our students
