Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region V (Bicol) Schools Division of Albay District of Jovellar Sinagaran Elementary School Narrative Report on the Conduct of Science Month Celebration SY 2018-2019 In line with Presidential Proclamation No. 264, s. 2002, September of every year is declared as the Science month. To support this endeavor, Sinagaran Elementary School held a simple celebration about the importance of Science to mankind. The said activity was held on Sept. 24, 2018, carrying the theme: Science for the People: Innovation for Collective Prosperity. At around 9:00 am the following activities were accomplished: a. Science quiz bee b. Poster making c. Creating a solar system out of crumpled papers d. SCI-Magic Tricks from selected Gr 1 and 2 pupils Participants on the said activity show their full understanding about the vital role of science in the development of a nation in the 21st century. It is indeed that pupils nowadays, really appreciate the innovations that Science and Technology brought to our world. In the afternoon of the same day, at exactly 2:00 pm, a simple program was conducted to announced the winners in the morning activities. The champion and the runner ups on the poster making category, explain their work to the crowd. Rose Marie Llagas a grade 6 pupil was proclaimed as the champion, while CJ Nacion, and Razel Pesito were the runner ups on the said activity. All of their output focus on human invention that makes life easier. Right after that, an intermission number from selected Grade 2 and 3 pupils was followed. The winner for science quiz bee intermediate level category was Angelica Nacion while Angel Alcantara was the winner in primary level. The Grade 1 adviser, Mrs. Argie Arandia, explained the science behind the magic tricks, done by her pupils. Then, another dance number was presented by the kinder pupils.
