Torsion of structural and machine elements, pressure vessels and beams under combined loading. Deflection and statically indeterminate beams. Energy methods and column stability Homework: 1. Assignments are needed to be uploaded to Canvas before the specific time on the due date. LATE HOMEWORK WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN CASES OF EMERGENCY! 2. Your work should be presented as engineering calculations: solutions should be written NEATLY on ONE SIDE of the paper. Solutions should be organized so they can be easily checked. 3. Sketches must be drawn neatly. Course Requirements for Students: 1. Attend class, listen carefully, and take notes. 2. Read the textbook and other materials required by instructor 3. Do the homework! All concerns related to graded assignments must be addressed within one week of the assignment being returned to the student. 4. Keep a well-organized notebook containing all information, lecture notes, handouts, and homework assignments. 5. All work turned in by a student must be their own. Any copying, plagiarizing, or other unethical acts will be dealt with in accordance with university regulations. Discussing homework is allowed, but copying is prohibited. 6. Make-up exam will not be given without university excuse before the exam. Prerequisites: ENGR 200.
