The program consists of interfacing sensors and actuators to microcontroller kit as well as interfacing microcontroller kit to internet. o Temperature & Humidity sensor is connected to microcontroller kit. o All in one general purpose board (ASK25) kit is populated with different peripherals such as LCD Display, LEDs, Switches, 7 Segment LEDs, DC/ Stepper motor interface. o Using 20 Pin flat cable relay (All in one general purpose board) is connected to microcontroller kit. • IoT Gateway – computer o In this IoT setup our cloud services are locally running in the same computer which is used for programming the microcontroller kit. o Raspberry Pi or any other single board computer can be used as an IoT gateway. o IoT gateway must be connected to internet so that we can monitor/control End Device remotely from any where in this world. • Internet – This is the MUST part in the IoT as without internet there is no Internet of Things. • OpenHAB - OpenHAB is software for integrating different home automation systems and technologies into one single solution that allows over-arching automation rules and that offers uniform user interfaces. • To understand the feature/ working of different components such as Microcontorller kit, Sensors or actuators, please refer the documents mentioned at the end of the Document. 1.4 In-Lab Experimental Procedure Steps to enable the Remote Lab camera: 1. After redirecting to Remote desktop. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 2. To access the camera, go to start and search for Camera privacy settings 3. Enable – Allow apps to access your camera. 4. To access the camera double click on the IP camera viewer 4 in desktop Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 5. Click on Add Camera 6. Select Webcam after that click OK 7. You will see experiment setup in camera. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code Steps to run the program: Steps to flash the program in Microcontroller kit(EPB-M4): 8. Copy “IoT_Ex8.bin” file from directory “Local Disk (D): \program_file\” to “DIS_F407VG (E):\” 9. If you are getting error while copying the file then please contact Lab Incharge. Steps to add email id to receive email notification: 1. After 2-3 minutes flashing program in microcontroller kit. Open following link in the web browser (Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer, etc…) http://localhost:8080/habpanel/index.html# 2. Click on the IoT Lab panel. 3. If you are getting the screen as shown below then follow steps 4 to 7. Otherwise jump to step 8. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 4. Click on the setting icon as shown in the above image. It will open Panel settings. 5. Click on Panel settings. Select Panel configuration: IoT Lab as shown in below image. 6. After selecting the Panel Configuration option, click on 3 lines in left upper corner beside Settings as shown in below figure. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 7. Click on IOT LAB from the left side panel and you will get the access to the devices as shown in step 8. 8. Enter your BITS student email id in the Email ID block and click Update button. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code Steps to set the threshold value for color Sensor: 1. Enter item threshold value in the block. Steps to execute the program: 1. Below Email Id and color sensor threshold block, counted items will be displayed. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 2. Turn on RGB LED by clicking on Red/Green/Blue color bulb for counting the items of related color. 3. If the item count goes above threshold level, it will notify the user using email notification service. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code Email notification: Mail has excel attachment which consists of date and timestamp with items counted for particular color. 4. After successfully executing the example press the Reset values button to reset the values. 5. Turn off the remote desktop camera and close rdp session. Experiment 8: Counting produced items by differentiating them using color code 1.5 Outcomes After successfully executing the example, one should able the monitor the sensor data. .
