Able to come up with matrix/plan to engage
students in writing a research paper.
The plan included:
First Quarter: Writing Chapter 1 Introduction,
Problem and Review of Related Literature
Second Quarter: Chapter 2 Method
Third Quarter: Results and Discussion
Fourth Quarter: Summary, Conclusion and
Recommendation
The action plan initiated was successfully
implemented. However, there were insights
and reflection needed to consider to
maximized fully the plan introduced.
Creativity and participation among students
increased while employing a graphic organizer
after reading a text
The initiated activity prepared and
participated of select Grade 10 teachers
opened a new venture for students to write a
research paper as their final output in English
10. Thus, as observed by participating
teachers, students became competitive and
their drive to start a research paper was

manifested. As speaker in the event, it gave an
impact in my career to make things possible
for the betterment of the students’
performance especially addressing 21st century
skills and that research writing is indispensable
in achieving this skill in the new millennium.
Teachers’ collaboration as invited research
committee or panellists during the oral
defense of the research paper among students
greatly boosts the morale and confidence of
the student-presenters. Hence, the initiated
activity for students helped them to be
prepared for Senior High.
