ACADEMIC DISHONESTY We are human so at times we make mistakes. Sometimes students plagiarize by accident, and sometimes, students make an error in judgment--especially when they do not have enough time to complete the assignment. Regardless the reason, it is important for students to learn from their mistakes. The class policy is that no credit will be given to work resulting from plagiarism and/or any other form of academic dishonesty, and further disciplinary actions may be taken. ”Violations or attempted violations of academic integrity include, but are not limited to: cheating, fabrication, plagiarism, multiple submissions, or facilitating academic dishonesty.” “Depending on the seriousness of the infraction, you may…receive a failing grade on a test, paper, or examination (from http://catalog.skylinecollege.edu/current/rights-responsibilities/integrity.php).” TITLE IX POLICY Title IX Policy Addressing Sexual Misconduct, Harassment, and Assault: The San Mateo County Community College District is committed to maintaining safe and caring college environments at Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College.
