Dynamics Podcast
This assignment is designed to increase our ability to create and sustain engaging face-to-face
conversations. Your final product will be a single 20-25 minute long podcast.
Steps:
1. Get into groups of 3-4
2. As a group, pick what topic(s) you’re going to talk about
 You should have an agenda of things you would like to talk about as a group, but you should
not have a script. I want to hear you having a conversation, not reading a conversation.
 Be creative – you can include interviews, music, or sound clips in your podcast.
3. Set your agenda – agenda due
4. Download the Voice Recorder or Voice Record Pro App
5. Begin recording – this is going to take several tries. Be patient and have fun.
Tips:
Use Open Ended Questions (who, what, where, when, why, how)
When asked a question, always provide the “why”
Q: What is your favorite class at Sprague
Answer that will surely kill your podcast: My favorite class is health services!
Better answer: Health services! I love that class because we are able to put what we learn to use
during games, and can actually apply our classroom talks to hands-on experience!
Grading requirements:
20 pts – Conversation skills – Group grade based on:
20 pts – Individual effort – individual grade based on how much you helped your group.
10 pts – Length – Group grade // the final product is 20-25 minutes long.
